ian, 23 Dec 2009i love this phone coz the features are really cool n the pr... moreian..you can zoom with both pic mode or vid mode!! once your view finder is already open (when you're ready to shoot), press either the + or - buttons for the volume...it works as the zooming option. although zooming is a tad too short...i mean, it zooms in...but really too short...
when doing a video, you first have to zoom in before you record. otherwise, you can't zoom in anymore once it's already recording. BTW, video quality is just awesome in good lighting conditions...vid quality is very crisp!!!

KHAN, 22 Dec 2009i buy s5233w samsung every thing fine but i can't install a... moredude...you might actually have a factory defect unit...it'll be such a loss for you if your purchase didn't have any warranty at all...no one except you had ever posted a prob with the memcard in this forum...

i love this phone coz the features are really cool n the price is very practical. Bt just like any other phones-- it has its not so cool features. ( the camera has no flash and no zoom, u can only have one entry in the calendar wc is quite weird.

i buy s5233w samsung every thing fine but i can't install any application like fring,numbuzz,talkenout.and another mager problem any memory card 1gb,2gb,4gb can't recognized.memory card not working at all.only you have to manage with phone memory.finally i advice don't buy.

hi there guys i have used all typres of phones from HTCtouch to nokia and crze of touch screen and bought the satr wi-fi recently nad its really good..trust me samsung has really come out with some good features

Cyrus , 20 Dec 2009I did not see the answer. I dont know what will i do after ... more--i talked to a direct technician for the samsung phones at Mall of Asia. and here's what they told me:
first off: open the wifi, do a search. once you've found your connection, just click on either "add" or "connect".
secondly: if there's a password on the connection, just type it in on the "network ...sumthin'"(sorry i forgot), after doing so then..; if there's none, just click on save then press the "back button". having done so, the phone will connect to the wifi connection...
it's either you get a prompt that you're already connected to the wifi or disconnected or the other prompts(such as "no response from AP", or "DNS failed");
third: if you get the prompt for disconnected, all you have to do is restart your unit, and just reconnect to the connection. you should then get a response that your unit is already connected;
finally: go to menu, browser, then browser-settings, then choose the connection you are connected with and then you're done! surf all you can!!
this is a bit tricky but if you follow this simple steps, you'll get along well! so far, after knowing these steps, i never had any problems with the wifi connections anymore!
if the problem for disconnection persists, or no response from AP, this would only mean that your spot or signal from the wifi itself is very poor, or there's just too many people using the connection at that moment...

To all the prospective buyers in the philippines. You can get this phone at around 9.8k, Got mine at 9,750 in one of these cellphone shops in SM (dasmarinas in my case).
The phone's a bit nice. Even though it doesn't feature a GPS (global positioning system), the Google map application that comes bundled with the phone is pretty good in knowing your location.. You only need an internet connection and everything's set..
You'll also find this phone sleek and classy.. an escape from the toxic nokia interface

I did not see the answer. I dont know what will i do after i connect the wifi. the icons like facebook youtube etc cannot browse these sites.
