I finally found out how to solve the wif... moreI have free access of WIFI but whenever I try to use the internet, it says service for "service unavailable. Retry with "selected browser profile".
When retrying, it says "DNS Failed".

guys, is there anyway to rectify this situation?
when I assign a ringtone/message tone to a particular contact, and the mp3 file comes from the memcard, it automatically copies it to the phone mem, and thus creating a duplicate file, which therefore takes-up limited space. same thing happens when I assign a new homepage, the pic file will be duplicated.
is there any way to rectify this? or does any of you encounter this kind of annoyance?

Been using the star wi fi for around 3 months...I absolutely love it. Just one problem i think that i've just encountered- during a call if u want to go to te phonebook or to the virtual keypad, the phone doesn't seem to respond!

level_up, 22 Nov 2009I saw one in SM Bicutan for only 9K+....dude, the unit you saw may just be the handset itself and may not even be the WiFi version. The one that i bought off from Trinoma, first stall I came about offered me 11k for the unit itself and the CD installer for the PC, the usual cables and charger.
The second stall I came to offered P10,700 for the unit & the package, add P250 and get the 2Gig card. I chose the better deal ofcourse! =)

if you are planning to buy 5800 screw that. Samsung is much more better since it lasts longer, it means that samsung is more durable well for because i have this phone and its really user friendly and very easy to use.

I love this phone.. I will call smart phone. Hehehe..
But I think I'm not smart enough to use this phone. For example, very easy to connect wifi without asking password..
But, if the wifi use password, I don't know how to connect.. Please advice. Because some place I go need to acess password and I feel stupid can't find to connect even I have the password.
Please give me step by step as my english is not my first language. Hehehe..

this touchscreen phone is just 10k here in baguio city..maybe in manila its much cheaper..if i have my money i will buy this phone..but im making thoughts til now..im thinking 5800..?what do you think..?

I finally found out how to solve the wifi connection problem yesterday and I just wanted to share with anyone who has the same problem as me.
My problem was when we try to connect to wifi it shows "Connecting" then become "Disconnected" and I can't connect to the wifi.
Anyone facing this problem ? Well, here's how i solved it* (*I may not sure it will work on u but it works for me)
1st step : Start switching on your phone's wifi and search for the wifi connection u desired to connect to.
2nd step : Add the wifi setting as below : All the other settting is automatically filled for you except this*
* this is the solution to your problem.
SET Name : "wifi connection name" (automatic filled)
Bearer type : Wi-Fi (automatic filled)
SSID : "wifi connection name" (automatic filled)
Auth Type : Open
Encryption Type : WEP
Key Length : 64 bits or 128 bits**
Index ID : 1
Network Key : **
Protocol : HTTP
Home URL : http://
Proxy address : "leave blank"
Linger Time (sec) : 300
Adhoc : off
advance setting
If u noticed the * above.
Notice the Key Length :
64 bits = 10 characters password.
128 bits : 64 characters password.
Select 128 bits if your WEP password exceed 10 characters. (mine was 13 characters)
Remember to fill in the "Network Key"
Network key = WEP password = your wifi router password.
the difference between S5233W than other phone is that we need to key in the WEP 1st before we can connect.
where else other brands will prompt us to key in the WEP when we wanted to connect.
After setting everything... save it and try to connect again.
You should able to connect, if not, restart your handset. (mine requires me to restart)
Please test this and let me know if it works. As it works for me.
