very nice phone... can anyone give me info how to install fring app to this phone...i have a black samsung star wifi..bought it from greenhills mall. php 10.5K
im already using nimbuzz app but i like the fring app much better..

I could not understand what you ment by uloading your .jar files from your pc. I have a Samsung new PC studio installed.

Hi Friends
I have been reading the various user opinion here which made me make a decision to buy the Sumsung Star with wifi GT-S5233W. It has been a week now now and so far I found it excellent when compared with the cost in the same range of other phones. I have past experience with Nokia, SE, Iphone and Samsung.
Normally, I use the radio/mp player when I go for a walk everyday. Yesterday, to my surprise the radio was on and the phone was completely dead. No keys were functioning including the on/off key. Then I removed the battery and restalled it and switched ON. Only after doing this excercise the phone started. I really dont know what went wrong, or may be I played with the settings.
Did any of our friends here using this phone have such weird problem?.
So far my opinion after using it for a week.
Pros: Excellent phone for its price, would recommend to anyone who is planning to buy one.
Cons: No flash, no 3G.

can anyone tell me. Is there an option in MESSAGES, to copy/paste the text between messages just like nokia 5800?
Is this phone support global copy/paste text function?

Guys want to install .jar games on your samsung 5233, go to www.davidpye.com/freewap on your pc browser upload your .jar files from your PC and then download it from your mobile browser from " http://davidpye.com/wap/filename.jar " It will automatically get downloaded and installed on your 5233....it an awesome phone...love it think its better than samsung 3G (not in case of camera)but touch interface and built quality...

i just heard from my friend that we can arrange the icon on the phone screen same as we can do in our computer so can anyone have any idea regarding this function.

in able to connect your mobile phone to pc, you should change your pc connection on your phone to mass storage and then connect your phone to your computer in idle mode

hi guys,i bought this phone 3 days back and its awesome!very nice interface,screen sensitivity,battery life and most importantly best call clarity.i dont understand why people compare it with nokia 5530 when the latter is much more expensive.even with the price difference i prefer this phone.the wifi works excellent.The only thing is after u connect to the wifi hotspot,you have to change your browser settings to use wifi otherwise you will get 'DNS FAILED'.I'm loving this phone.
