In my mobile 300 msgs are there . and still i am not getting any problem . Now you do two things hope it will work .
1- click on messgae icon then memory status and see ur text message status . By default this mobile will show you multimedia message status so you have to change for text message .
2- What ever things u download from internet or bluetooth it get saved in Phone memory ,ur all wallpapers and ringtones who are saved in Memory card if u have used once also by default it get saved again in phone memory .
Now u click on my files .On above u will find ALL buttons change it to PHONE ,now delete every wallpapers sound clips ,ringtones ,images videos from there . I think it should do work .
After that click on setting go to memory setting then click on default memory and change ur bluetooth ,camera voice recorder and everything to Memory card .

thankx for ur replies, im nt sure where the service station is and secondly i wnt be havn ny phone if they keep this phne wid them... i dnt like ma dad's iphone and neither the HTC. Both are bricks..
Sandeep: I dnt thnk so dng factory settings will help instead it will delete all my msgs and numbers i thnk, nd also ma phne memory is empty nd nt full ive checked it.. Till nw only appx 25 or 30% of ma memory is occupied of the phne.. Its such a nice phne then y does samsung nt pay attention to these thngs, common, in the year 2010 where the competition is increasing y is samsung nt gvn basic features to its customers of more sms storage.. Just waitn for some sort of update to come so tht i can increase ma sms storage.

Suseender, 15 Jun 2010how can i apply a wallpaper .. its resolution is 240x400.. ... moreSave the wallpaper in Phone memory then go to setting button and display and light after that wallpaper and then u can choose ur saved wallpaper .It will work . If not then u have to click on my files then go to ur saved wallpaper in memory card . Now after that u have to crop the wallpaper by clicking lower part of screen it will reduce the photo size and make ur wallpaper size equal to rectangle crop size and set AS A wallpaper . These are the two option first one is easy

how can i apply a wallpaper .. its resolution is 240x400.. even after i download in exat size the wallpaper cant be used... when i use set as wallpaper i'm gettin a box in it.... plz help how 2 set a wallpaper in samsung marvel....

solution is - if ur phone is in warranty period, go to d samsung service centre, show d bill of ur phone n tel dem to increase ur ph msg memory, its free of cost, no need to pay anythng, it'l increase ur msg memory to some extent, sure it'l help u, incase u dnt hav bil, u hav to pay jst rs. 120 which is nt a big deal. try it n plz let me knw.

Hi Frndz,
I had taken this phone 4 mnts back, at tht time Monte was nt launched. I liked monte cz it suits on girls as it is more designer.. Nyways, I m facn a prob frm a lng time.. I have 142 msgs stored in ma Inbox and still it shows memory full delete some data, there r absolutely no msgs in ma outbox, sent or drafts. There are only 15 msgs in my folders... My phone memory also is empty cz ive deleted all tht was stored in phne... I was first disappointed seeing here that it supports 500 messages. but now i m more cz i cnt have ny solutn for ma problem, and i sorted my msgs by size also, all are 150 to 160b..Multimedia is also blank. In message memory it is showing me as 157/500 bt why is it nt takn more messages. Ill actually be xtremly grateful if some1 helps me out in this cz dnt like deleting imp msgs everyday. Thanks in advance.

in fact the colours are bright but not over saturated..
it records at 15 fps.. which is low for an 5 mega pixel camera.
but the still pictures are good.they are very much satisfying.

are you saying on behalf of all the people.
you wont be carrying your DIGITAL CAMERA wherever you go.
and there is also big difference between fixed focus and auto focus.
brother i would also like to point 1 thing that Monte doesn't have flash.. a biggest negative point.
3G.
while some people surf net regularly from ther. mobile
whilesome just want to have that feature in ther. set..but they might not use it.
they might prefer using net from ther. computer.
well 3G is an advanced technology.. but it is of no use for those who doesn't want to use it.
3G Services include wide-area wireless voice telephone, video calls, and wireless data, all in a mobile environment.
it is also costly in some countries..
IN the end handwriting recognition is an feature that is fun to have.. although it might
not have any prime use.
QWERTY is also an feature that MONTE lacks.
.
WELL i must say both the phones have there own PROS & CONS..
and you are the better judge because in the end it's you who have to USE the phone

mobile consultant, 12 Jun 2010who Say's that Monte have all the features of samsung marve... moreAnd wat abt 3g my dear friend camera is not a primary requirement of any phone and i think for better pics u can't depend upon mobiles weather it is 3 mp or 5 mp ,Digital camera are best suited for this purpose, and hv u compared a resistive touchscreen with a capacitive one , capacitive touchscreens are far far better than resistive touchscreens and we buy touchscreen phones for its touch sensitivity.......
And also you cant do anything with handwriting recognization all of us types the msgs with keypad.......so i think monte is best buy if the camera is not ur first requirement.........

they get stored in Sim.
total messages capacity is around 500 to 600(which Include inbox+sent items+outbox+draft..etc)

if you think so then your totally wrong ...or you are misguided by some 1.
FEATURES THAT MONTE LACKS....
*MRVEL have 5 mega pixel camera + flash + autofocus...where as MONTE have only 3 megapixel camera. Also it doesn't have auto focus ,flash.IT IS AN biggest turnoff.

*MONTE doesn't have handwriting recognition.
.
*MONTE doesn't have qwerty keyboard on screen.
.
NOW I THINK it would not be fare to call a Monte best buy if we try to compare it with marvel s5560.
THE difference in price
money is not that much .
IN INDIA Monte cost Rs.8,800(approx..)
marvel cost Rs.10,300(approx..)

EXCEPTION can be if you cant afford to shell RS.10,000 then you can go for
Monte...

this phone has one bug which is quite annoying,that is when playing a song in media player,if that song is paused it is unable to resume again,so to continue to listen to music one has to skip to the next or previous song!...
