i.e., suppose u get a message an u don read it nor exit... in such a case that widh\gets changes to message icon.. .similarly with miss'd call.. .

using *#0*# and hitting the... moreUse the * and the led will glow on as long as you don't go back. That is what it does with my phone.
Want to ask another question -- among the widgets there is a widget (with a green sign !) that you cannot remove from the bar, if you drag it onto the main screen it says NO EVENT. I tried every thing on the calender, notiications and everything and it always says NO EVEN.
1. What is this widget for?
2. How can I remove it from the bar 'cuz it's annoying as it gets to the first place on the bar automatically?

U can use the front camera(VGA) for viewing yourself by typing- *#0*#.
U can also turn on the flash for using it as a torch!
MINE ONLY GLOES FOR A SECOND?????/

Mario, 26 Feb 2010about the advanced settings.. i found something
type in ... moreabout the photo calls - I thing it stores them manually to the last contacts used so it canges all the time. But you can set your favourite 5 contacts on the desktop with an installed widget. It's a nice looking widget and if functions for fast dialing and calling your favourite contacts.
about the battery - I also got the 960mA so it's a bit of shame, but I turned off the 3G option and I hope this will make the battery a bit better.

type in *#6984125*# and you get to a new menu where you can change some things, but if you go to the INTERNALS and type in *#9072641*# you find a test mode where there are some interesting things you can play with, but I can't save them and it's difficult to know what they are and how to change them. So play with them a bit and let me know if anything improved :)

I am having this phone for quiet sometime. All in all good phone with reasonable price and added WiFi would have done wonder to this phone.
AnywaYS it's specification as mentioned on gsmsrena and Samsung site says it has 1000mah battery.But for my shock my box came with 960mah.Initially battery seems Good but nowdays it's performance is decreasing.In this case i would call Samsung guys cheater...
Next thing i wanna ask is, i am unable to use photo contact feature.I can't store my choices of photo contacts manually.It stores some contacts itself.Manually some is added while not all.Plzzzzzzz help...
And yes some guys were discussing here about advance setting so plzzz tell me how to access it.

you can't see what you are shooting @ night.. .once you take the pic u'll gettu see wat u ve shot.. .Flash is good.. .
btw no zoom in 3.2MP mode.. .zoom only at lower resolution. .

1. It is a Good phone.. .not bad.. not awesome.
2. this phone records videos @15fps.. .so it plays videos smoothly recorded by it.. .and incase u want to play music videos etc.. . conver it to .mp4 @15fps.. .it plays smoothly with this spec.
3. picture quality and video quality is ok.. .not the best nor bad.. .pic and vdo quality good to view in this phone.
4. Sound quality is not loud through the speakers (though u can change by accessing the firmware) but through headphones it is really good.. .I use corby's in-ear with this phone and is really good.
5.msg limit is 500 but u can copy it to pc via Samsung NPS... however i was testing corby pro the other day.. .it has this feature of copyin msgs to micro sd.. .(hope samsung adds that feature to this handset in the next firmware update) but must say corby pro is insanely slow ! ! ! + resistive screen :(
6.For your budget of Rs11000/- i would not recommend you to go to corby pro now as it is very very slow.. .go for some handset tested with time.. . this phone is pretty fast compared to corby plus and corby pro.. .

great phone, has everything, great widget possibilities, OK internet conectivity, fun to use, camera would be better off with an auto-focus option, music player is decent (i would use it if i hadn't had a Sony walkman, which sound quality is just unbeatable), sad to say that there is no qwetry keyboard for messaging (you get it by downloading opera for net-browsing).
All in all AN EXCELLENT phone with not great camera and music player.

karthik, 19 Feb 2010ok! and how was music?@karthik, dude in ebay.in we get a 3.5 mm adapter which is th length of th finger.. . we get normal ear phones wit th set.. . however 'm usin my frn's corby's in-ear its pretty good.. .th interestin thin is u can change th sound level in dB in advanced settings.. .
