samsung monte is a great phone for me.
advantages:
1. big screen, good resolution
2. hot swap memory card. easy to pull out
3. security features is user friendly. you can select which application to close.
4. internet speed is better than nokia 5530 and 5800
5. facebook app is very user friendly, direct download from phone memory.
6. pre installed google map
7. pre installed document viewer. you can't find it. just save your document in your memory card and open it using the phone. it will work just fine. i have done it. i placed pdf ebook file. microsoft word and powerpoint. its okay.
8. sound using the headset is good.
9. long battery life. mine gets up to 3 days even using wifi function everynight.
10. easy switch of messages, just drag your finger across and you will see your next message(feature absent in nokia smart phones)
disadvantages:
1. poor loudspeaker
2.camera is not so good. no flash. your pictures will turn dark if taken at night evnthough you turn the night mode on. good day time pictures.
3.prints on the screen. try to have yours wrapped up (gmask, invisibleshieldz or local screen protector)
4. no auto rotate for typing. it will rotate if your viewing pictures or internet browers.
5. no theme downloads (specially in the philippines)
6. games need to be licensed. You can't install games from other free software sites. games pre-loaded are trial versions only.
