the phone should have at least a 5 mp camera.... may not be a good idea to buy if u r a photographer type...

The samsung monte plays youtube videos in any network.But for live tv you have to use 3g networks for better viewing.for live tv u have to configure ur setting i.e. in vod setting u have to set bsnllive or bsnlstream setting.Then u play live tv channels.But in bsnllive setting u cannot play youtube videos only livetv u can play.for utube u have to set bsnlnet on vod setting.The vod setting is found in setting>application setting>media player>vod setting.
2.for gps u have to first download data i.e. in phone setting>gps setting>gps+setting>download data. After download data check valid time.Then come back and see gps position and then see satellite status .After satellit status is shown You can use google map for gps position.for navigation u have to download navigation software.The gps and agps features both are found in samsung monte.
3.The divx file is supported but u have to convert in a specific format that support the mobile.

I brought this mob 1 months back and it was functioning perfectly. By mistake few days back it fell down & now am facing hell lot of problems. Phone hangs & switches off automatically, there is problem with display too. when I took this mob to service center they said some chip has been broken & they are charging some hefty amount. Now it is just a piece of junk.
So guys think twice before going for touchscreen mobiles. Even though we are careful, sometimes accidentally may fall down.

i have monte phone, is there any way it can pla... morehi nik, I am using samsung monte still last two months .I could say it is like same as nokia 5800.But it lacks operating system and flash light for camera.I am telling u the true records that I find in monte.
advantage.
1.It supports flash player for bright screen .
2.It supports pdf,word,excel,powerpoint files.
3.It is beautiful designed and the quality of screen is amazing.It feel like amoloed screen like samung wave and Samsung galaxy.
4.the video format is mp4,divx,3gp.
5.camera is 3.2 mg with geo tagging and well equiped gps navigation software.
6.One new thing is that it also supports motion sensor games with landscape mode.It is really very good.But u have to download these games by game loft and umnet.com.
7.Camera quality is very good in bright light only.
8.download site is given in the mobile for which u download lots of application and games for free.
9.sound is loud and the quality of sound when u talking is just great.
10.ethiquse pause and fake call is awesome.
disadvantage
1.poor camera quality in night or deem light.
2.no symb. operating system.
3.qwerty keypad is not given.
overall it is a very good phone.

dolf, 15 Sep 2010how can i solve my problem with my gt monte?..wgenever i ri... morejust bring your mobile to samsung repair center at sm megamall f there is still have a warranty din bring your receipt and present it., because we have the same problem what they do is that they upgrade the program of my phone..., and now my phone is working properly and no more rebooting happened.....

Guys..
When i setup gmail in my monte it loads all the mails i have in inbox which are too much.. I want it to load only the unread mails...
or
It should play sms tone when any new mail arrives... Is it possible in Monte..
Pls tell me how?? I am eagerly searching for the solution...
