poor performance, 23 Jun 2010mine is2.5 months old.. the screen is not that responsive ... moremaybe u do not take care of it.. and u must not full d phone memory!

Go for monte anyday if ur budget is less than 10k,and if u can spend 15k opt for nokia x6
I had monte and i m quite happy with it,It has all the features at a very reasonable price

hey guysss plzzz help me....
i can't play youtube videos from my monte.
i ve BSNL 3g
every time i try to play the videos, a video player window shows me an error "try again"

Pros:
This is a fantactic phone with good Battery
Good news is its responsive 'Capacitive' touchscreen
DNSe is nice + wifi
Cons:
While texting u will get a normal virtual keypad with T9 but not a Qwerty vitual pad..
Anyways more than enough for Rs 9000/-

Monte coming for 9K ,,, for that price you are getting all the features and every feature is working great ,,,, It is real foolishness to compare this phone with some other phones whose price is near to 14K or 15K ...More over any phone will not come beyond 1 - 1.5 year,,,, get this monte and i am sure u will not repent for your decision ,,,,
Touch interface is cool.... so enjoy

Thanks for the answer. I really like the phone but the only thing who stop me to buy it is the material - shiny plastic. Does scratch easily? Also how is the screen on sunlight?

1. Touch Screen - excellent touch sensitivity far far better than nokia and lg of this price range. 10/10
2. Net Connectivity - Very good net connectivity with wi-fi and gprs all the social networking sites and youtube videob runs f9. 9/10
3. Music - Excellent music quality, sound is clear and crisp with dolby surround, better than nokia 5530 and 5800 xpress music and lg cookie series. 10/10
4.Camera- well it does'nt hv flash and autofocus, but the pics in daylight is quite good. 8/10
5. Battery Backup - Mine is giving a backup of 4 days under normal use and i think it is quite excellent. 10/10
6. 3g - well i hv'nt use 3g yet but there is option for video calling and there is a front camera.
7. Other Features - Well it has 3 page home screen and full of widgets, widgets can b put on this 3 home screens so we can directly access our social networking sites, Nice user interface, Latest TouchWiz interface better than samsung star series,corby series and marvel. 10/10
We hv 2 b thankful to SAMSUNG for releasing samsung monte which is full of features at such a reasonable price range
