Ok, I have been using Sony Ericsson phones for quite some time now and had the P1i before I got the s-monte.
lets go with the good's first - touchscreen response is excellent / speaker phone is nice and loud / screen size and quality really impressive / widgets options (shortcuts)very handy / battery life good / excellent keypad options when using the internet / nice and sleek unlike the P1i
now the bad: (considering I was using the sony ericssonP1i)
The mic quality of the headset provided is simply pathetic / getting to a contact after unlocking takes a lifetime / taking off the back cover is as good as impossible / getting a hang of the phone setting might take quite some time / not user friendly at all unlike the P1i / in case of a new message the same in not highlighted in the list hence difficult to know which is the new sms (thats sad)
The price is excellent for the features provided however one should still consider the ericsson's or htc's in case of any buz use like emails. over all I give the design 9 / features 4 considering it tough to use any and performance 5.
On my way to give the Monte back and pick up a sony model. Cheers !!

Hi... someone please answer my question... posted earlier on 2010-05-04 21:07 . Is there any specific kind of setting to be configured for keypad to be available while you are on call ? As of now, i cant access the keypad while answering the call. Please HELP !!

I don't see any option to go in menu while you are on a call, it will only shod you options for Phonebook, keypad, messages, hold, mute etc. but no options to go in Menu.

go to call recorder in main menu wen u are in call and click on voice recorder
and to access this u have to press the lock key first snd then select the option u want

I am a novice in Samsung mobile and I think this is one of the best touch screen phone for a reasonable price!Picture quality?...superb in outdoor and yet its still need flash...Hope you will come up for next gen of Monte.

Hi,
Please guide me how to use the keypad while answering a call. In certain cases, like calling up the customer care of the service provider, you are required to press 1 or some other key to select a particular option from their menu. But I found it hard to locate the keypad while answering the call. Can anyone help PLEASE ??? How do you answer the call and access the keypad at the same time??? PLEASE HELP !!

Hari, 04 May 2010After closing the music player it's icons are still in the ... morefirst press the widget icon, then take the music player and drop it in the widgets section. It stops once its dropped in the bar.
