Is there a difference in the software of the old and new monte or is the difference only in the design? i like the orange sides design and i wonder if i can get it from anywhere. does anyone know the year in which samsung stopped producing the monte with the orange design?

i've been using monte for over a year now and i'... moreHi Viks, you have to downloaded application with screen size of 240X400, so that you will be getting full screen, if you need opera mini with screen you can try downloading in this below given link

The reason you get the bar at the bottom is because you downloading the wrong screen sized games if you go to wap.tegos.ru they have games for this handset

hi frnds,
i've been using monte for over a year now and i've loved this phone.no problems till now. i just wanted to know how to remove the bar that comes at bottom of the screen on every application that has been downloaded(like in opera mini, etc.). it takes lot of screen space. please help.

sanky, 10 Sep 2011this is smart phoneplzz answer with me mp4 su... moreits not a smartphone but yet a little bit of limited smartphone like functionality which is marred by low ram-processor specs, you can minimize three java apps at a time, u can install a limited number of java apps

price wise just ok handset,
cons- more than three running java apps and it begins to suck badly, poor battery life, hangs sometimes, no themes, low resolution, poor mp4 resolution support, GPS only for name's sake, lags quite often, poor in call functionality, low ram-processor specification make widgets of no use (every time it shows memory full even if you open very limited number of apps or widgets), you can set up only one push email a/c. at a time, horrible music player (searching/browsing songs is a nightmare), no virtual qwerty keypad(while lower priced siblings of it have this feature which is samsung's wicked strategy), buggy UI
pros- good design, good 3g, very responsive touch( could be better if it had a better processor), complete budget phone (for its price you can not get any other phone with such features)
As you read, you'll notice more cons than pros but still its good phone for its price range.
