Hi, i am saving to buy this phone. There are just questions in my mind that i can't find such answers.
How long does the battery stands for talk time? And how long is it for standby? For me, battery is the most important specs in a phone. Hoping for replies.

I knew this phone was too good to be true.
A phone with a solar panel that wont even charge the battery weather in direct sunlight for 2-3 hours or other strong light source. (tried whith the phone switched off or on).
How can Samsung allow for such poor handset quality to even be released.
      There is no update either.
This one is going back for a refund !
      Avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was baking in the sun (clear sky and mid day) for two hours today and guess what...the same problem !
The solar panel is not actualy charging the battery at all.
I'm leaving it next to the light for 7 hours tonight and see what happens tomorrow morning...

The Solar Charger seems to charge a lot quicker than I had first imagined !
The phone will happily charge with the solar pannel even on a cloudy day, although if you are using the solar pannel to charge, it's more effective while the phone is switched off as you will get a quicker charge.
Carging is best done out doors (i.e. not through a window as this will give a less effective charge).

For anyone interested I'll try to do a detailed test on how much extra usage you will get for 'X' amount of charge time in certain lighting conditions.

          Any questions, please ask...

            Finaly arrived today !
I have to say that this is the most beautiful phone I've ever held!!! It has a two tone metalic colour scheme.
In brighter conditions, it has this gorgeous ocean blue colour. Under low light, it looks more purple.

Athough I found the screen very sensitive and responded very well to touch, the only issue I found was that typing on the key pad (no QWERTY keyboard) needs to be done with the whole of the finger as using the tips of your finger often causes miss typing the wrong key or having to press the key two or three times to get a response.(seems to me it's down to poor screen calibration perhaps).
The screen sadly does not have an OLED display although the screen clarity is still pretty good.

The loudspeaker has a pretty high volume level.

The phone runs a newer version of touch wiz which it's alot smoother than on my samsung beat dj and you can cycle through three home screens.
The Blue Earth also has Edge,3G,and Wi-Fi so it has pretty much all the connectivity options you need.

Think of it as the Samsung Tocco but with higher specs and a much cooler design.

Any questions, ask me I'll try to answer them...

Will be getting mine in two days time.
Now, availability is a little unclear:
GSMarena says it has been available since 2009. I live in the UK and no high street phone shops have had any in stock.
You can google under the shopping tab and there are a few web sites that say in stock but when I phone them to confirm, there are none in stock, or they are on back order ?!
You can download the user manual from samsung.com
Lets hope the phone works well when I get it on Tuesday.

                    Hello,
I bought this S7550 for its solar charging: i see a red solor icon but you can't charge it to get fuller: only keep it stabel when NOT using it.. when you send text or call, the battery will loose and no solor is filling it!
My question is about the touchscreen: when i am outside, have cold fingers etcetera, the screen isn't working properly sometimes: in the middle of a text message i need to set it on stand bye en then unlock it and try to typ further cause i am pushing on the screen i might break it.. it's just blocks and i can't do anything more.. are there other persons having the same problem or should i take it back to the store and is it a problem of my cell and not common?
