How can I install java apps and games on this phone?

If someone owns this phone Samsung Jet can somebody tell my what is the OS of this phone Samsung Jet is it a "Symbian" or "Microsoft Windos Mobile 6.5"? bec. in its specfications of this phone Samsung Jet there is no OS there...???

The only disadvantage of the jet is the OS functionality but that the main used interface which is used by samsung in many devices. Except the OS i find that it has good specs for this cheap price.

But everyone have different expects for his device.
FOr you the OS takes a high prioity and of course for me too. But i would prefer to buy a device with less OS functions as a device which has less resolution or crappy look.

I m looking for a new cell phone and the S8000 is mayb... moreno, unfortunatly samsung is waaaaay behind when it comes to application. All the pre-installed games are trials except for the rollercoaster game and its not even good and if u want more games u have to buy it or download more bad free trial games. If u want to have fun with ur touchscreen phone then DONT buy the S8000, cuz i have it an its boring. Never the less, it has some pretty cool stuff, like the photo contact list. U take a shot of a friend and u tag him in the pic then u can dial or sms through his pic. The music player is amazing, its almost like the ipod. the camera is very good. the photo edit is great. browsing the internet is good except when u watch videos, its not smooth. they didnt lie when they said that the phone is fast, it is fast. u cant compare nokia phones to it when it comes to speed. another downside is the lack of navigation software. u have to buy the Route66.

I got the S8003 Jet, I dont know why this happens but in the past couple of days my phonebook was completely erased. Thank god I had my contacts on the PC Studio. If anyone knows why this is happening plz tell me. The only common thing I did in the past couple of days is that I tried to setup my exchange ActivSync. I highly doubt that it has something to do with the issue but thats what I did.

i have been reading all the reviews from the jet and am now not sure what to do. im stuck between the jet and tocco ultra.

Been using the S8003 version for the past 4 months and so far I can say if not for the lots of free applets/applications from the iphone (which I've been using for a couple of months back b4 I bought my Jet), the Jet would run over the iphone like an incoming train. The OS stability, the screen, the camera and video, the speaker,and the battery all out performs the iphone 3G- which tends to hang more.

I have owned numerous devices across all platforms and builds - the jet with a firmware update is amazing. I am going to stick with this device for quite a while...... the word 'jet' apptly describes this device :)

Now to your points. Build quality. Take any Nokia you like and drop it from two meters high onto concrete and then drop the Jet and then come and tell us your reviews. No way Samsung has better build quality than Nokia.
Nokia phones or any other smartphone with symbian or windows OS, do NOT merely have as many problems as the JET. The jet is an impossible phone, unless you want to do functions we were doing 5 years ago. Too many softare issues, NO applications to download, way more difficult than average OS to use. Not intuitive. Too may problems when used for online browsing.
It is true that Nokia is behind in the touchscreen game. Something that I really cannot undestand. They only have a couple of touchscreen phones (different models, not upgrads, etc). But I cant wait for the time Nokia gets into this touchscreen market and starts rolling out dozens of touchscreen SMARTPHONES.
My suggestion is simply dont buy the JET. I am not saying dont buy Samsung. Omnia 2 is an amazing top Samartphone (except for its size). Samsung has other top range touchscreen smartphones. So does HTC and other companies.
If you can wait, wait until new touchscreen smartphones are announced from both Samsung and Nokia and other companies.
The Jet is not worth it in my opinion.

but youtube videos arent smooth so we must wait for an update ( i hope for that )

-First of all i want to say that Nokia is creating nice device for a cheap price but the build quality often is really bad. Im a Nokia fan and using for years nokia devices and at moment arent any for a price until 250 € which could beat the samsung jet.
- Of couurse u have open system S60 and much more options to get apps but the system laggs very often also the display quality is crappy. In samsung jet u have one of the best display on the market with sharp resolution and AMOLED technology.
If this phone have many software problems then i can agree this because i know that this exists but nokia devices have also this same problem.
That why we must update this devices to improve the productivity, right. I would prefer to buy a nokia device but i see the models 5530 and 5800 in this price range. Both have good specs but like i said it before : cheap build quality, bad camera, bad display
So that the reason why i will buy this device. Which nokia device is better in this class? Im sure not the 5800 or 5530 . Also the design looks very cool.
Can you recommend me one?
U will see that there arent many devices with good display, camera and look !
