aceedburn, 25 Oct 2009have you tried hard resetting....type *2767*3855# it will ... moreno aceedburn, resetting dosent work. i'm now going back to s8003 firmware so that i hope i will get warranty from the samsung service centre.will there be any warranty issues??what should i say to the service engineer//plz advice thanks in advance

I need advice.
I currently have a Nokia N95 and the reason I keep hold of it is because great phone and pictures and videos are amazing quality.
If anyone has experience on both phonees can you let me know if the video recording quality is close to the N95 being a Vga quality and the Samsung jet being D1. Not sure what is better

syam, 25 Oct 2009i have done that but the camera firware status becomes fail... morehave you tried hard resetting....type *2767*3855#
it will wipe out all data, contacts, messages, settings etc. this usually solves many problems.

aceedburn, 25 Oct 2009syam, you have to do this after flashing if your camera fir... morei have done that but the camera firware status becomes failed. now my phone hangs once i try to access camera, be it through the shutter button/ camera menu/ *#0# 7(mega cam)..you know any resolution for this..will i get warranty for this issue..guess my camera firmware has been corrupted so it cannot be updated further..issue not resolved after re-flashing

syam, 24 Oct 2009hi aceedburn,i've flashed my s8003 with XEII2 from darkfore... moresyam, you have to do this after flashing if your camera firmware gives problems.
You need to perform the camera firmware update, Admin codes have been changed on recent FW:
a. Type *#197328640# in the Idle mode, then you can reach the test mode.
b. Select [6] Video
c. Select [3] Camera Firmware update
[Please Wait] will be displayed.
Wait a few minutes then [Please Wait] will be changed to [SUCCESS]

That's a waste, i think...

Jet can play AVI and MP4 videos. If you need any conversion, try to search for "format factory".

aceedburn, 24 Oct 2009u can't flash the phone via pc studio...go to darkforestgro... morehi aceedburn,i've flashed my s8003 with XEII2 from darkforest group but the camera firmware upgrade freezed and i had to pull out the battery from the phone. now everything except the camera works better,the phone freezes while acessing camera.tried flashing again but no use,the camera firmware upgrade fails..you know any solution to this

However,for best streaming u must have a 3G network. 2.5G may not provide sufficient speed for video streaming.Check ur operator if they r providing 3G,2.5G or 2G.
