Hi guys, I wonder if any of you can help:
I have just bought a Samsung Jet and it is branded to Orange. I have an O2 sim card though....Can you rebrand it to O2 or just to a basic firmware?
Does this firmware then allow me to go on O2's mobile internet amongst other things?
Cheers

I believe all of them need to be connected to a server to pinpoint your location in a map. Only car GPS can have maps downloaded into its memory. Correct me if I'm wrong.

the size, look, speed, camera, screen, touch performance and good battery-life is really amazing..
but the text handling, browsing and gps features and performance is too too bad.
generally the phone is good for any user how will not use the gps and web browsing, because of the screen and touch prformance and all athor features on this phone.
but when talking about the regular use, the phone is .... (yuk)
there is no text selection, then there is no copy and paste text, i can't handle my text (in sms, mms and notes) and can't take text or pics from the browser (i think this is a must for every smart phone),
and for the gps... i have to be connected to a server just to get or download my location (what if i travling in the desert and have to get my location ????!!!)
correct me if i wrong pleeeeease
I am really disappointed from this phone (it is the first time to think that i made the wrong choice) :(
I used to use a less catgory price phones which do more than that ..

NPS is still not functioning properly, You can flash your phone yourself if you need new firmware. http://darkforestgroup.com And yes, if you have an S8003 you can flash to the S8000 firmware.

S8300 is a completely different slider phone which has got nothing to do with the JET model

Hi Nav.
the biggest difference is that the Jet has Wifi, and does not have the "slide" (wich I personally prefer). Have just ordered a Jet after seeing it "live".
I would definatley buy a Jet before the 8300... they are available online for a good price.

Please leave your experience and suggestions:)
