Abu Dhabi user, 20 Jun 2009Really like the specs on this phone. But please can anyone ... morei have a feeling it's just java applications that will run.
for pdf, word etc you need a symbian or windows operating system therefore omnia II

However my question is what kind of applications are available and how many??

Really like the specs on this phone. But please can anyone tell me if its at all possible to view PDF documents or MS word applications will run on this through any software upgrade? I cant beleive samsung would leave out such a minor detail on an almost perfect spec sheet

'Pixon 12 -- which runs the same in-house Samsung OS as the Jet, but packs a 12 megapixel camera'

that info is from Engadget. Also they have loads of photos of all the new samsung phones and some really nice ones of the Pixon12 (which i think is the phone i'll be getting over the Jet) Click link for photos

                      http://www.engadget.com/photos...ide/2084574/

ALSO, read the opinions about pixon12 on this site and follow other links i have posted for a closer look at Pixon12.

Pixon also runs the TouchWiz 2.0 UI.....i think. Does not have the 800mhz proccesor though. No 3.5mm jack and no dolphin browser.......but, im still getting pixon12 over Jet. The Jet looks good but with the pointless cube UI thrown in.....i dont see any need for it, and will never use it. So Pixon12 with its camera abbilities wins it for me.

for ur question about pixon and jet,I think jet would be more suitable with its new TouchWiz 2.0 and specs, also the Jet is around the same price with Pixon even after considering the spec sheets.

basically AMOLED screens are just screens that can function w/o backlight thus it is more power efficient :) Hope tt ans ur question
