But one should also know that unlike the days when a phone used to give some multimedia functionality, nowadays a multimedia device gives some phone functionality. So people nowadays don't decide to chose a mobile to just call, they chose one which provides the best in multimedia and software support in that price range and a little calling feature cause every mobile has calling features but not every mobile has got the best in multimedia and software. So when a person see something new in some other mobile which he or she haven't got, then they will always feel jealous. Its a human nature afterall. But in the end, ITS A PHONE.

Why is it that you want longer battery life when you can't. If you are really so concerned about battery then better not buy a mobile that is made to eat battery in matter of hours. This phone has got a huge screen and a fast processor. So it will eat battery or else it won't function. Don't you guys have a charger. When you don't use your mobile then just leave it plugged to the charger. Is it so hard. That won't kill your mobile, i can guarantee.

i suggest, buy all the phone, with all the feature you want... coz you cant buy 1 single phone, with all special features ...
i only used my phone, for calling, texting, coz its a phone, with other features is bonus...
if you want gadget which is good for games, buy PSP,
camera, buy camera
gps? buy gps gadget
etc...

In fact, I'm a bit of a geek (you know, I play Dungeons & Dragons and WoW, so...)...
But I know it's not a smartphone... Tell you even more, I sell mobile phones in a store... :D
My only questions are always regarding battery life, we don't get the chance to use them for long, so...

i'm a jet user from indonesia, this is very2 stylish phone, it's even look more luxurious than BB bold, my review:
*style - very good
*multimedia - very good and complete features
*audio - NOT good (the speaker is loud in open air, but if you put it in your pocket, you can't even hear your own ringtone)
*audio >with earphone - very good
*display - very very very good indoor, not so good outdoor
*touchscreen - it's a new exciting experience for me (but it will become a hellish experience if you have big fingers), i always accidentally 'misstouch' small button e.g phonebook list
*performance/stability - fast, responsive, in short it's mainly good (even though a few 'freeze' happened to me :p)
*3rd party software compatibility - very poor, opera mini do not 100% support this phone series, so don't think about installing skype, i'am using ebuddy mobile but i can't use it multitasking with other feature (ebuddy will auto logoff if you open incoming sms), remember this is not smartphone
*texting - uncomfortable (there's a short delay when you writing and it's very annoying to aim your fingertip between 2 letter if you want to edit your sms)
other opinion:
*you can block unwanted call, but i don't know were to look to unblock it :( anybody can help me?
*do a try out for texting sms when you buy a full touchscreen phone
*price 5.300.000 rupiah

For eg, suppose a mobile has 3 keys at the bottom of the screen and it runs a specific kind of os, so now if you try to run that os in a device which has either 1 key or 5 then the system won't recognise which part of the phone is for what purpose. This is only a minor case. As every keys in a device is ment to send a certain signal back to the os to recognise what that key is ment to do, so every os is unique. This is preprogrammed in the os. And since every device has different sorts of keys sending different sorts of signals so its not possible to swap an existing os of a mobile. It will either kill the mobile or if somehow the hardware matches then also only a few functions of the phone will work, that too sluggishly. Thousands of people have tried to do what you said, but failed. Maybe a few succeeded. But they are people who are too good in software engineering and programing, unlike us who can only comment about there success.

I got one question. In desktop we can format and change the OS.. Like wise shall we do this in mobiles... any mobile is out there like this.. What I mean is shall we able to use android or badaOS in this model as this contains software issues.......

The Jet really amazed me with its multi-media capabilities. No Hang-ups, sensitive, good battery life, and one of the best mid-range mobile phone's.
Before I bought this unit I was actually choosing between the Galaxy Spica...but definitely all votes are on Jet. My friends told me the pro's and con's but I rather researched between these two phones.
Great Hardware in one package, camera ( esp. panorama), doc. & pdf viewer, GPRS.
If your looking for the phone that's on the go choose Jet.
