Although i don't see a point to call them by different names by means of different hardware specification, but at least there is the case of firmware. For a proof. Check the transition settings. In jet there is 3 options but in jet 2 there is only 1. Check it out man. And mind you, I ain't blind. I scan the whole site before giving a comment. I noticed the difference not by this site but by using it.

I am using this phone for more than 2 months. I have no problem in using the phone and it is quite interesting. Media Player is good but sluggish on big files. I have also dropped 5 to 7 times but till now nothing happened. I am happy with this model.

Hey guys... i am planning to buy the samsung jet... coz its got the best features(all that i need) at a superb price... but i can c that thr r mixed reviews about it... plz help me out on this one...
wht specific problems r u guys experiencing?
my dad has a samsung star... n thr is a problem wid its camera..
is thr any1 wid good reviews bout the jet?
battery depends on ur usage... so i cant judge battery life problems...
or shud i go for the nokia x6?

I use it for more than 6 hours of net browsing and downloading. I see a lot of high quality videos and listen music. It haven't hanged once. I tried to use this mobile as fast a i could and its response is way better than any of the other devices in this price range. Yet no hanging. I guess that the s8000 i.e jet is the one that hangs a lot not jet 2. So jet 2 is more stable than jet.

Actually I've been using nokia 5320 for like 3 years or so, so I'm kinda used to a low battery life =D With internet browsing, and music, it lasts a day tops, but is the jet really as slow as people say?and does it hang alot?

I was worried because in some other samsung phones, the reject list is totally useless !! You can add people n all but it doesn't really make a difference

I have bought s8003 jet about 1 month ago first week its battery life was only 12 hours finally i found the solution : the cover was too tight and it pushes the camera button all the time when I changed Its cover the problem solved and now its battery life in normal use is about 4 days long =)
now the problem I found is I can't find any way to copy and paste text and also where to see total call time.
I have asked the support samsung site but not get answered yet =(
if any one could help me I will be please.

BAD....SUPERBAD
The Jet hangs, atleast mine does, and does it awefully.
It has been 7 months since i bought it and it has been two months since the problem started showing up.
Some times I cant even switch the phone off and there in 1% probability that if i take the battery out and restart it, it would start functioning properly again. 99% of the times, the phone stays hung, and I have to wait until the phone sets itself right with a mind of its own.
The Jet has a superb set of features otherwise.
The camera is good during daytime, I was pleased with the picture quailty. During night time though, it is not good......NOT GOOD AT ALL.
All the other features are worth it. It was the photo quality at night that troubled me at first, and now it is the 'hanging' problem that ate up all my head. To wait until you can make a call, is terrible when you know you have shelled out a lot from your pocket for the phone. Sometimes, the calls are very important.... but alas.....
I have given it to the service centre, must see what they can come up with.
The battery backup, was the best i knew..... it came for 7 days flat, (when the phone was working properly). I used to charge it every Sunday.

Dear friend..me sad to say about this phone...i bought this phone on feb 2010 for 17500rs and from april 2010 onwards it showed its real colour....touch screen wont work properly..we will get fed up of this bloody phone..my 5 frnds too bought the same piece seeing its great display clarity but i assure u its touch screen will be a problem,it will get switch off automatically,some of my frnds there problem was speakers(external), and one got loose all his datas because of its software problem remember it was not virus infected, and on june i sold dis phone for 8500rs and my loss is 9000rs......friends dont ever think about buying this...its waste of money...i always curse myself for buying this rather than a E series cell of nokia......
its my request for all people dont buy this and more over due to excess complaints samsung stopped its production too...camera clarity is waste only 5 megapixel name there not a drop of performance....believe me thanks
