I brought this model during jan 2010, already the touch pad has been replaced twice. Microsoft exchange is hanging(software) most of the time. Touch pad are not so sensitive like apple.

hi every one.. i am using samsung jet from last 6 months ....... i am happy with its performance . but i dont know what has happened to it from last 1 months ... it freeze and hangs every day for more than 15 times !!!!!!!!!!!!! i really fell frustrated for this phone ... the screen hangs up and non of the hardware key respond .. then only after opening the back cover and making the battery out and again in , the jet starts but agian the same problem arises ,, then after 10-12 restating the phone responds slowly then again after 1hour the same problem repets ..... plz help me if any one know the solution for thi .. the service station is even unable to do it..

i need help jet owners when i tried to use my headset as i listen to music in my jet it was working ok but then when i pulled it out it didnt produce sound anymore..i cant listen to my playlist anymore without using my headset. how to put the sounds back to normal without a headset? pls help..thanks

Jet has reached its EOL (End of Life). No more new FWs coming out. At PHP16K, you better add a bit to aquire the Wave which is 5x better than Jet at PHP19K + 8Gb card...

After a year of rough flying, the Jet crashed into the ocean and swallowed by the Wave... I hope Samsung learned a lesson...

I see many people complaining about JET not being a smartphone. The term 'smartphone' is over-hyped these days.
Nokia symbian smartphones these days often runs out of RAM when multitasking and says memory full. S60v5 users are still waiting for compatiable coreplayer to play their avi videos(not satisfied with smartmovie player). Even nokia is trying to get rid of s60v5 which has been a failure so far... Single tap here double tap there. And if this is what u call a smartphone then i will say that JET is certainly smarter than the smartphone. Atleast it delivers what it promises to.
Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) is the way to the future (thats why nokia N8 has it too... nokia understood it bit late though) and JET has it already.
Inbuilt DivX XviD player is a big plus. Who wants to waste their time converting videos? No one. Jet download it frome stagevu and play it on ur JET. Camera is good in the 5 megapixel category (atleast better than crappy n79).
Internet experience on JET is a decent one too.
JET is better than those devices who have the tag of smartphone on them but ends up showing 'memory full' due to low RAM while multitasking. Smarter than the smartphone at last...ha ha ha ha

well I guess this is the best handset if you are one of those techi guys out there. who loves to play dota (pero weak pa din) just like my friend DANILO JR. who owns one he loves his phone more than he love his girlfriend. the bottomline is that it's a great phone...

I am not familiar with LG Phones so I have no way of comparing it with my Samsung Jet. But I've had a Sony Ericsson P1, used Nokia 5800, Samsung Galaxy and another touchphone the brand of which I forgot at the moment, among all these Jet is the best. Actually its wrong to compare P1 with the others since it is an earlier generation touchphone.
Jet with its AMOLED screen has excellent display resolution than other touchphone models under low and medium light conditions but like most phones of its kind it has very poor legibility under direct sunlight , I really strain to see or has to seek some shade to read what's on the screen when say, someone texts me.
The other problem I encounter is that when you open 3 applications at the same time it refuses to function anymore, with a warning saying it has insufficient memory and requires that you close the open applications. Another problem is the glitches relative to the installation of the PC SUITE in your computer. It may or it may not install properly, there's no guarantee. I installed it in the 2 laptops I'm using, one running on Windows Vista the other one on Windows 7 and though it installed fairly well there is still an error dialog box that keeps appearing which is irritating to say the least...
You always wonder if it will run properly the next time you use it because you know there is still something wrong with it or the software is unstable. You cannot use one or two features of the PC Suite, I presume as long as the error dialog box keeps appearing.
Other than these glitches, the features are to die for. The camera is very good though not as sharp as a Sony Ericsson's of equivalent 5 MP quality, the video is excellent and so is the sound quality of the Music Player. The touchscreen is very sensitive, unlike that of a Nokia 5800 or a Galaxy Spica, it also boasts of a 10x magnification capability. To show this feature to my family and friends, I downloaded a picture of me and my wife taken with a 7 MP digital camera in the balcony of our room in Sofitel Hotel located in the 7th floor when we stayed there, where you can see cars in the background the size of a Matchbox, you could barely make out any details other than the general shapes, wheels and colors. I then zoom in using one finger on the parking lot and lo and behold, at 10x magnification you can easily read the marking on one of the truck's side, "EL KAPITAN." Believe me, the demo ALWAYS GETS the AMAZED REACTION I expect from them.
The widgets are pretty nifty too and to ensure that I will enjoy the AMOLED display to the fullest, I ONLY download HD Nature pictures which I edit through the Jet's Dynamic Canvass to customize it into Wallpapers.
This is an incredible gadget, I got mine at P16,900 the price you mentioned is very good indeed.
If you ask me I would recommend this for sure, but I do hope Samsung improves their after-purchase support for this Jet.

mio2009, 03 Jun 2010Hello, iam planning to buy a new phone, and my bet goes to ... morei am like u!!!lg arena is not good for me.thruly now i was lanning to buy arena but jet is really competitor.lg has a little screen but aunder sunlight you can see nothing.also flash is so but so weak.video recording as 3gp.terrible.tested from my friends phone.otherwise samsung jet disadvantage is micro sd card is not hot-swapable.
My opinion go for jet trust me now with new firmware and applications,games at java runtime (jar) can be powerful.
for music samsung test are very good apart arena.also flash is very strong!Tft screen are now past...trust me amoled and super amoled future!!
i now own nokia n73,n82 powerful device symbian plattform rocks but very boring!!!!sasmung not even if jet is not a smartphone!who care just for multimedia and N82 for photos!xenon rules.

Hello, iam planning to buy a new phone, and my bet goes to Samsung Jet and LG Arena. I read all of the specification of both phones and both of them suits me. I want a phone that will allow me to browse my facebook account anywhere through wifi/3G(GRPS), i love music so i wanna it with me playing through my favorite headphones 3.5mm jack,iam a big fan of hollywood movies so i wanna watch movies with me anywhere as well., i like to download different games and applications from the internet and put it on my phone, iam also new to touchscreen technology and i was amazed to the Capacitive tech of LG Arena and was captivated by the OLED display of Samsung Jet. I love loud speaker phones and so i praised LG Arena for its Dolby Sound system, and pretty amazed about Samsung Jet 3D sound settings...
One of my priority is the price of each handsets, I canvas the price of both of them and shows:

Samsung Jet - Php 14,500
LG Arena - Php 18,000
It shows that Samsung Jet rules over the price.
Which one of them shows the best specifications based on my interest above?????
