Was working well but after 10 months had issues charging. Found out the charging point is attached to main board and cannot be repaired. This is a common problem with this phone. I would not buy this phone....very expensive if you have to repair or throw out.

the fone is alrite,bt the battery doesn't last as is common with samsung phones.nice stuff bt no applications n u have to download games on it.

Hi, i own one for more than one year, its crap!!
got lots of issues with the phone, camera failing, very very very bad reception. Most of the time the phone is in no network mode, have to switch it to 3g only else wont have network.
Now the latest issue am having, the phone keeps rebooting, i have reset all settings, re installed the OS but stil the same issue.
Can someone help me in this please.

Don't even think of buying this phone! don't accept it even if someone gifts it free of charge! here are the problem faced by many of the users/reviewers:
No Wi-Fi, so no free browsing at public Wi-Fi hotspots!
Touchscreen can be sluggish and inaccurate.
No Xenon flash for the camera.
A little bit slow camera operation in the dark with many red lines on pic.
Camera lock and shutter buttons are too close.
Camera lock button is exactly opposite to the volume button.
No 3.5 headphone jack.
Web Browser is slow.
Webpage navigation is a bit uneasy.
It has same port for charging,music& data tranfer. u cannot njoy music while charging.
The Keypad is sticky.
No QWERTY keyboard on touchscreen.
No multi-touch support.
There is some shutter lag, which meant that images could easily be blurred if you move the camera while taking a photo.
Needs to remove battery to remove memory card.
Poor battery life: 3G browsing consumes more battery power and taking pictures too consumes battery power.
No TV-out.
User interface sometimes lags.
Slow initializing of large microSD cards.
Limited options for third-party GPS navigation software.
Memory card isn't hot swappable.
The hardware really struggles at times to run the software.
Inadequate flash.
Unnecessary features like the physical keypad.
No resume play for videos.
Hangs when playing music.
Gives a humming sound when skipping from one song to another.
No speed dialing.
No voice dialing.
No Pop mail.
No Pocket mail.
No PTT.
No call recording.
No Torch light.
No Call Blacklist.
No SMS Blacklist.
NO Pocket MSN.
No Skype calling.
No free games.

I owned the Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH since it was released... since then it has been through a lot of things (like being dropped on the ground, ran over by a car) but the only sort of damage it retained was a few scratches! I think it is durable... I love this phone! I havent experienced any problems like the ones the others are describing, maybe i lucked out and got the good one out of the batch, but who knows. anyways... i think this is an awesome phone and still waiting for a better phone to come around so i can upgrade, but sadly i am still waiting

i posted my opinion/comments a while ago. now i got back my unit from their technical office and found out that the result of the report is "no defects found". am very sad about this because i want it changed if possible may be with another touch phone.

i just purchased one and used it for at least a week and my experiences are: battery easily drains, hangs when playing music and has a humming sound when skipping from one song to another. i have been longing to have this because of its features, but it dismayed me because when i had it checked, they need 4 days before making the right analysis.
i just hope the samsung service center would be honest enough to state the right defects and have it replaced because i have one on mind with the same price.
