sickest phone love the look and the camera is one of best phone cameras ive seen a tad laggy but the phone makes up for it, cool features and sleek design

guys srsly dont get this fone...u will have to charge it everyday...n if u think this is not a problem, which i also thought , but will really irritate you...if you hav to stay at a place where you dont hav its charger or u r travelling and u cant charge...it really irritates... i got this from my dad after days of convincing my dad and now i regret..it looks good in your hands but not a good one...slow fone...on top of that samsung hasnt got a good resale value so even while getting rid of it, u will face problems :/
the cam is so frustrating always takes blur pics if the object moves even a little, doesnt matter whether the anti-shake option is on or not....on the other hand cam picks colors really good but of no use if the pix are blurred :(
i jus wish it had a good software i wud hav kept it longer :( ..... its upto you.. this is my hands-on experience...grr :@

had this phone for over a year and its been a good one. only one problem really but it's a big one, the touch sensitive screen has stopped working so the phone is redundant. any help?

Phone is OK. Had mine since June 2009 and it hasnt actually given me any problems, quite reliable actually. Things that annoy me about it is 1. the speed of the CPU is too low for the phone. Scrolling through photos is painfully slow and sometimes locks up on me for a few secs when just typing an SMS.
The other thing that really irritates me is that you can enter custom words into the phones dictionary, BUT YOU CANT REMOVE THEM!!! So now when I enter a txt I get weird letter combos coming up before the word I want. e.g. If I want to type 'for' in my text, the first suggestion that comes up is 'ens'...
Good phone overall but does possess some annoying querks.

the shit will start so00n first your software,then your lcd will flop...in 6months your charger wiil seize and your battery will swell...so my advice get rid of this peice of kak im stuck in a contract so no way out rather go for htc or nokia maybe blackberry

Just been given a s8300 - seems battery is kak! Even without using the obile, it has already discharged half its power. I have charged it for te past 3 days...for 10 hrs a day !!! Do you have similar issues?

Hey Guys,
This phone really rocks. Its one of the style icons in the mobile industry. I really like this phone. I have been using the phone from the past 16 months without a single problem. The 8 mega pixel camera is awesome. The video quality is very good. Amoled Screen boosts the picture and video quality. The response of the touch screen is fine and lives up to its standard. Coming to drawbacks:
1. Poor Battery life (Max 1 day)
2. No Wi Fi
3. Less internal memory
4. No support from Samsung.
I can say that no mobile is perfect since we expect more.
However, I am very satisfied with Samsung Ultratouch.

hey i love this phone so many ways to love it like the 8megapixels cam, touch and slider phone! very convinient type phone stylish. awesome! thumbs up samsung! keep it up!

- this phone is really great i like the camera, video and the some features of this phone.
-for those negative commentors and fake users..
1.correction to the other commentors... you can download games from this cellphone. it can read all jad files... most of it 3D's! OK! but i think it is your firmware... UPDATE your firmware men! you sucks!
2.from again the one whom said that the screen is unsensitive is... Your an ignorant... this phone has a capacitive touch screen! only your clean, not wet finger can recognize it well! dont compare capacitive on resistives! capacitives touch really great compare to resistives.
3.and then to the others whom said that this phone was died or broken in 6months onwards... its depend on the users you know! mine really cared enough so it works really great as new!
== ATTENTION! == im akihiro sato saying that you should not trust very easily to those who are saying negatives about this phone because others are just saying nothing but a stupid and nonsense about this phone.
-i think the one that i should say negative about this phone is its weak battery life that takes only 12 - 24 hours usage depend upon the usage.

ultratouch???please!the screen died after 12 months,the back paint is so weak if flakes if i put it down to hard,the photo browser freeze's if u select it,the 8mp camera takes beautiful pics but by the time its captured the people had forgotten to smile,the charger has given in,the battery last for 4hours but that decreases soon, and as for social networking???it leads to software problems! really a stupidly designed phone...im done with samsung for as long as phones exsist..oh and the bad news???all this goes wrong within the 2 year contract period

Im using Samsung Ultra touch since last 9 months its camera and all features are awesome...I really luv this phone ....its resolution of Amoled screem is great .....thank u samsung

i own this phone, and it is stupid.
1. the dictionary doesn't recognise words with a ' in them, ie it's and I'm. If you want to add them, you can't find the ' to make the word.
2. the lock button is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough.
3. the battery life is not 350hrs standby or 4 hours talk-time... more like if you use it for messages, internet and about 1/2 hour talk-time... you're lucky if it lasts over 24hours.
4. it is very bright, even on the lowest setting.
5. the phone is generally just slow, if you are a fast texter it will take a while for it to catch up to you.
6. when using the internet the "flipping" of the screen is annoying and slow, either responding when it isnt needed or not responding... and you cannot turn this off.
7. playing games in this phone is useless, there are no games suitable except the ones that come with it... like the rolling the dice, which has no specific reason, you just roll dice.
overall, i'd rather use my old phone (samsung f480t)

Well after owning the phone for about a year now it has finally died.
The screen has stopped working and it refuses to do anything I want it to do (example: I flip the phone down and it wont lock and the touch screen freezes completely, resulting in shutting the phone down only to have it not turn back on.)
So my final verdict on the phone is: Don't buy one, you can get a better phone for the same price, I was disappointed with this phone.
That being said though I do hope you all enjoy it.

HELPPPP, 14 Nov 2010I use 4GB card. when i capture photo after capturing it say... moreChange the default memory to memory card, if the default memory is phone memory and do not have enough space the pics wont get saved, also if the default memory is the memory card then try a reset settings for all n change the memory again, it works, go to settings for reset settings.. Let me know if tis helps.
