my cousin bought one at launch it's great the screen is so sharp and solid and UI is handy,great phone.
Combination of keypad+touch screen cover both side users at once but it's seems a little faster CPU could improve overall experience and aid phone to operate much satisfiable,there are moments that you must at least wait 5 or more seconds to phone responds but all in all it's worth for it's price.

agree with steven,
advice for all new samsung touch screen user.
you should use them at least for a month before value it. samsung can easily beats other brands as few high tech gadget coming out.

Best touch screen phone I've ever used.
Could say it's beats HTC, LG, Nokia, in terms of pricing and categories.
Also it comes with AMOLED technologies and superfine display too.
Smooth touch screen n non-lag at all.
Only thing that it doesn't have wifi.

Hi. I bought this phone when I was in my home country. This phone is total crap and according to me, its waste of money to buy this phone. with all other problems, the biggest one was that whenever I tried to play video songs, phone stuck and restart again itself.

regards , people, if someone can help, i last night I was at rock concert and of course I tried it my s8300.music was loud, the drums and guitar, but you know how that goes .home I arrived and want to watch video, which I recorded ,but it has no sound .i mean it has , but .it is buzzing ... and in all settings is set correctly .. Now I ask myself is it the microphone as possible when shooting clip, cant to submit a very strong music. because I shot video at home , and everything was ok .... if anyone knows what could be...txanks

Hi every 1 i have s8300v it,s awesome phone but i have only 1 problem when i record video in any concert etc it does,nt record audio clearly. when i play dat recorded video it,s sound keep buzzing can,t understand what is dat problem plz helpl thkx in advance.

You need to set up a folder in the 'My folders' storage, and move any important msgs you need to keep in there, as you can only store about 200 msgs, you'll need to keep on top of it and clear it out regularly.

I'm on o2 in the UK, which has reasonably good coverage, but obviously you need to ensure you have it as part of your contract, as internet on phones is pretty expensive.
