Is the sound in headfones as bad as gsm arena says or have they sorted it out..I can now afford this on pay as you go but use my mobile as mp3 player,,than you forum.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970simple solution my friend,flash your phone with new firmaware then you will get gps navigator and phone as fast as supersonic aeroplan,it is very good phone only bad thing is that operators put their own not original softwares into.that's the problem.but flashing will take 5minutes and u have phone as should be!

good news for ultratouch users!firmware S830NXXIE1 does support route66 navigation software like jet or innov8 also phone works speedy like a rocket

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2009I sell these and they are terrible, for every good feature ... more'cos firmware of your operator is bad or usually is that's reason why u have to flash it with new firmware,all procedure will take a few minutes then your phone will work like a rocket

This is the worst phone I have ever had. For every one good feature it has like 10 bad ones.
The only cons are:
Camera, but it's not really all impressive for 8mp, C905 is way better and it has xenon flash, screen is nice and good audio, rest of the phone sucks. It's battery goes down for a day and it doesn't even have WiFi, taking pictures with the slider open, because Samsung were cheap to take the camera out with a lens is a real pain in the ass, there aren't enough widgets for the TouchWiz, the phone is really slow, bad reception, slider gets wobbly, there aren't any themes whatsoever, you can just change the wallpaper, video playback isn't good, speaker is insanely weak, you can never hear your phone ringing in public, GPS kills a battery in the matter of minutes...

I sell these and they are terrible, for every good feature there are 5 faults. The battery swells in heat or cool temperatures, the phone breaks down unexpectedly and many customers come in store complaining that it's the worst phone they've eveer had. Go for the F480 or the UltraS instead.

OK, after 4 months with the S300, I sold it. Im sorry, but as much as i tried to convince myself that its a really good phone at the end of the day i had too many little 'problems' with it. It a real dr Jeckle & mr Hide phone, excellent camera & video, best ever screen, but poor reception, no WiFi,no themes, unbalanced, no active lens cover, weak battery etc etc etc...I have since bought a Sony Ericsson Satio.....by far the best phone I ever had.
