Good Camera. Some good quirks and features, but worst battery life ive ever seen. Too plastic, breaks easily. Ive had this fone, all thoughts from personal experience. do not buy this phone.

i don't understand why u guys buy this phone..the only good thing in this phone is the display quality other than that its pretty much the the same as typical samsung.at this moment if u want to buy a samsung touchscreen phone with 8 megapixel buy the samsung pixon which is 100 times better than s8300,and the camera features and quality of pixon is awesome same as the samsung innov8.

one of the disadvantages of this handset is that the Memory card isn't hot swappable. Ive got a customer asking me what this is and i done have a clue, can anyone help me out

Can anyone tell me how many words can be added to the predictive dictionary? T9 mode? Usually Samsung phones only let you add 5 words, then it starts to forget or words start to override it.
Also how many texts can the inbox hold? Is it the usual standard 200 messages = full inbox?

i hv bought this phone frm last 9 days.its not tht wht i want..VERY BAD BATTRY LIFE. battry life is very important but this phone is not perfect for this.
all abut is im not satisfyed frm this SAMSUNG.
NOW im going to buy sony ericsson..frnds dnt go for this phon

Does anybody know how to get a sat nav application on this phone, preferably Route 66.. The S8300 is featured on the route 66 website but with no download or purchase available... just a PC application that doesn't do anything until the phone has the software on it..

well i've given up on samsung with this phone. bought it the day it came out, tried to persevere with it but the lack of D pad / cursor arrows, wifi, apps, upgradability, personalisation and SHOCKING battery have out weighed the great camera and video, excellent screen and potential with the form factor.
I've bought a 5800 Nokia Tube and am so far highly impressed. Much more finished than the Samsung software. Just have to get used to the camera downgrade but apart from that i aint looking back.
Back to the mother manufacturer i go!!!

I m using this phone for about 2 weeks. i had little trouble in bignning in switching from Motorla to Samsung, But after use of 2 days i got my hands on. Its good phone to buy nice features. Screens resolution is just stunning, very bright and detailed images. Camera is out standing. The only issue is Battery as it lasts maximum 2 days with very normal use. probably its gona last couple more days if you just dont use the phone. Anyway if you can keep up charging every next day you gonna love this phone. Phone could have been loaded with more games. Lake of QWERTY keybaord will badly hurt people who use alot text messaging. but for normal users Onscreen 3x4 touchpad will work. Over all i m satisfied with phone and I DONT REGRET for buying this. www.Samsungmobile.com offers 300+ points when you register your phone and then you can download some cool ringtones and other stuff in exchange of points.

I am holding it from last 20 days. Its camera is prity. but battery backup very very..... bad. Iam using bsnl north service in it. but not saitsfied with gprs setting..... very slow speed can any one help me by mailing me its manual gprs settings my id is sk_shant@yahoo.com

Well i've just got my s8300 last april 24 this year and all i can say its superb but the battery life last only a day..otherwise im fully satisfied with this phone ^^. I rate it 9/10 for Samsung.
