Hi All.. I am not a person who uses high end phones like "Wave 2" (trust me this is most high end for me and first time i am using it).. It all seemed very well till the first time my phone started showing a black screen while opening applications like call logs and then msgs etc. And this happened in all 25 days... it was shocking because this never happened in my earlier simple nokia and sony phones.. The service center people said that the software needs to be upgraded.. its fine but all this in 25 days.. don know if this is normal ...

nandu, 14 Mar 2011dear user can i lock only image folder pls help me@nandu To lock pictures go to settings -> security -> Privacy lock, set the password and choose my files to lock the pictures... hope this helps...

Netguru, 14 Mar 2011Missing wifi and the 3g is preety expensive you may like bs... more@NETGURU are you joking mate this phone has the most advanced WIFI 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 which is missing even in some very high end phones... i accept 3G is limited 3.2 mbps and would you need more than that speed in india where 3G is priced on par with GOLD....

the pdfs i download on the phone appear to be blurred.... not at all readable especially the scanned ones....the pdfs arent corrupt as they work very well on the pc!!!
Can sumone help please............

I bought this phone 12 days ago. I use the different functions (internet, games, music, messaging)of the phone when I need them. With my usage the battery lasts 7-8 days... I'm not young like most of you to use this phone like crazy (Joking)....
I'm very happy wit this baby...easy to use, clear screen, fast, excellent battery life(for me)....
But I have something to say...I expect Samsung will release the bada 2 upgrade for WAVE users and I would like to flash my phone with Bada 2....
If not, all Samsung wave users will be angry and samsung will loose a lot of their customers...
If they don't care... I will buy an android phone...and not buy 'any' samsung any more...

BADA OS 1.2 for S853... moreWAVE 2 has wide screen but the color contrast seems bad...it is brighter but no colors are true colors when compared to wave 1.think why should the SUPER AMOLED are still used in galaxy S and S2? because Super amoled rocks....i am having TWO 8500 with me as i enjoy both...one great advantage of wave 2 is that it gives a good battery back up than wave 1....

Is this S8530 a better buy than S8500? BADA OS 1.2 for S8530 but SUPER AMOLED for S8500. Is there a big difference in the OS update from WAVE to WAVE2?
