And kies is showin... moreDipanjan....even I had faced the same problem...I guess it needs quite a high speed broadband...I have 4MBPS BB...still I had faced it twice..without any logical reason....in my 3rd attempt it got completed...try on....

Right now I have Kies_2.0.0.11011_16_5.. And kies is showing a message, that is "PLEASE UPDATE SAMSUNG KIES TO THE LATEST VERSION AND THEN UPGRAD FIRMWARE". But when I start updating my kies through internate after 30%-49% gives amessage and that is " internate ic not connected, want to chceck your internate?" when i click "yes" then after 10%-15% it showes the same message.
friends please help me.. I want to upgrade my firmware.. please please help me..

Your set is a faulty one or there is some network issue, I reckon. Check the internet settings and other settings in 'Settings' menu. Configure all these network settings properly. If your problem still persists, go to Samsung Service Center soon.

it seems u havnt really xplored neithr d phone nor d apps store,
push mail function is vry much thr (i benefit frm its use daily),
regarding d apps i think evry basic use app that one can think of is already thr in d app store ( though some amazing games r nt free but then this case is same with android as wel as i phone store ) and the app store is expanding everyday...

sidh, 08 Feb 2011Hi friends ! i got Wave II few days back, its awesome phone... morethe youtube video prblm is due to slow(gprs) net connection combined with the high resolution screen of wave II,
when i open youtube (normal http site & not mobile youtube site) on the phone through wifi connection then the vids run vry smoothly,
the 3G launch in India + the new firmware upgrade wil rectify this.

I have almost finalized on getting the Wave II myself. It's too good to resist. I don't think we should neglect it just because of Bada O.S. I checked out the prices at a couple of stores here in Pune and it's priced at 17,500/-.
Bro, I would really appreciate if you can explore all aspects of the Phone and post a review within a couple of days. I am planning to buy it this Weekend.

get ur set checked mate,
but before doing that try to upgrade to the new firmware which is available through kies,hope it helps ur cause...

this is my first smartphone as well and i was in d same situation as u are....
but wat helped my decision was the growing no. of apps in samsung app store(its 3,500+ in India) and also it has a secondary camera...which makes it a complete package...!!!

I checked my GMAIL settings through Vodafone India and everything was fine. Still, am unable to get alerts and Inbox always shows 0/0. Any take on this?? I can check emails manually though.
Also, how does the Samsung Navigator work? Do I have to purchase it in order to route? It takes a while to get my current position.

I am confused between Wave II and galaxy 551..wave II is better in all regards. The only thing that is stopping me is the OS. I have read many reviews but still confused...this wud be my first smartphone..plz suggest which one should I go for.

This will be my first Touchscreen Smartfone. Primarily it will be used for normal Call Operations, occasionally watching Videos and listening to Music, browsing n all...
As of now, i am not sure what all Apps are present for Smartfones. But i feel that as i start using them, i will get addicted to them.
The only thing stopping me from buying the Wave II is the Bada O.S. which i am not sure how it is.
