WAVE 1 u wont get in market now..its out of production..fresh stock willl arrive in mid 2011...if at all u getting it then that must be from some old stock...so that wont have BADA 1.2 and touch-focus-camera and enhanced social-networking-integration and a few things.
So if u really wanna buy a WAVE..either buy WAVEII now or wait for a few months and buy an upgraded WAVE I then

Ruben, 01 Feb 2011What about the differences in Sound Volume and battery life... moreits not 55% or 100%..its 55dB amd 100dB...dB=DeciBells=sound intensity unit.
yes..it true that max speaker volume level is restricted to 55dB...increasing that is not possible by even tweaking or hacking the phone.....but still 55dB is really not that bad enough...its quite OKAY i found..clearly audible even in busy roads or buses...
Battery Backup: Battery backup is good(i really mean good) if u dont access internet either by WiFi or GPRS and if u run lesser amount of video....by 30mins' browsing on WiFi battery indicator starts showing 1 strand less.....I m not a heavy mob-internet user..and that fancy to watch video in the superb screen will fade out after 7-10 days(it will be a normal thing fr u then)....so fr a normal user the battery backup is quite OK and acceptable.

What about the differences in Sound Volume and battery life in Wave1 and Wave2?
Many of the guys are sayin that battery life in wave 2 is not as good as wave1.
And also what about one cant increase the volume from its default 55% in wave2, where as in wave1 it can be increased till 100%.
Please wave and wave2 users throw some light in those aspects.

GPS PROBLEMS:
Hi WAVE owners...I m facing problem in handling the GPS system of Wave 8530.
1st ...whenevr I want to lock the GPS..everytime its synchronising the license.
2nd...people..and a few online forum says..that complete navigation package from Route66 is free for 30 days...but im not getting it! suppose fro 'Driev and Walk' or 'Traffic Information' its not givng me any even thou im well within 30 days period..its showing me a 'shopping' icon..probbly asking me to buy the feature.
3rd...locking the GPS position is perfectly working
4th...found in many forums that the minimised map package (without voice guidance and all) is available for free download(lifetime) from Route66 website...I tried to find out there...but :( ..couldnt...anyone done so? or anyone having any idea how to download that for free using KIES?

the only way t... moreYou are not right man, to install any app, game or widget that is not there in Samsung Apps store you just need to copy the installation file ('.jar' file for apps and games and '.wgt' file for widgets) into your memory card, and run that installation file by simply touching it from the 'My files' menu of your Wave II.
It will ask you to confirm for installation, because the software is not signed by Samsung. If you agree and confirm it will be installed into your Wave II.
Then you can access that app or game from the 'Games and more' menu. There are two accessibility options for these Java Apps in Wave II. These are 'Fit to Screen' and 'Use Virtual Keypad' which you can enable for any of your Java App upon your choice.
If you install a Samsung unsigned widget into your Wave II, you can access it from the 'Widget' menu at the Home Screen of Wave II.
I've already installed some useful apps, games and widgets into my Wave II and they are running at ease and quite stupendously in my Wave II.

this is no way near wave1....better is so bad and the screen is can't match superamoled..

it depends on ur usage... i.e; which featue of ur cell u do most..
if u lk multimedia most plus lil bit smartphone experience, den go for Wave.. it's best option.
And if u lk only to have a smartphone and no touch phone den go for blacberry bold..
I would prefer any of my frnd a Symbian/Nokia device....because they sucks in all aspects... Nokia is boring and they r nt 4 youth..

its 12mp cam sucks!! its touch sucks...
i have used both n8 and waveII.
no doubt..waveII has better touch..better screen size and clarity..and it plays mostly all of the video files that n8 cant play... then why do you want to buy n8??
