it is of 7.2 mbps..you can check in some dedicated wave forums...

hope this phone is more durable than s8500 i have this phone for 3 week and after that it always in and out of service center 1st they apdate the firmwire then the phone always freeze them they replace the board of the phone it work well for 2 week and after that its back at the service center and i tell them that i want them 2 replace my unit its been almost a week now samsung still havent process my request its look like this is a lemon phone of samsung and this phone dose not support dvd converted to mp4 in hight setting not like my other phone jet its has a slower prossesor but it do the job well it play any setting in mp4

And the answer from Samsung support is:
Wave and Wave II has the same speed 3.6 HSDPA

Samsung wave has a Super Amoled screen. i can't understand why it is mentioned wrong above.

Once its officially out at showrooms plz do ve a look. I've nothing against s8530. I just dont want ppl to pay more for inferior technology.

GSM Arena, thanks for the full review of the s8530.
please note that the review does not say anythin about the sensitivity of the touchscreen due to the shift from Amoled to slcd and the specification does not include battery talk time , stand by time etc.please do the needful and thanks for your prompt response.

i guess its an error in gsm arena that states that wave 1 has hsdpa 7.2mbps. cos the other day wen i checked one of the samsung official websites(dont remember which country), it says that wave s8500 has hsdpa only 3.6 mbps.
then again, wen i googled, some sites say that wave s8530 has hsdpa 7.2mbps. so the final conclusion is this, wether its 7.2 or 3.6Mbps, its the same for both the models.

Wave Rocks, 22 Nov 2010every one says, this is slower than wave i, is this true?the wave1 has an hsdpa of 7.2mbps and the wave2 only has 3.6 which means that it will be slower in terms of data transfer.basically anything that needs 3g or 3.5g like mms,e-mail and web browser for example are at half the speed of the wave1.to the average phone user its absolutely no problem at all but after useing the wave1 you will notice it as the wave1 if well known for its speediness.

Dont compare it with N8. Its far better that that.
And as compared to Iphone 4, it lags behinde.
Yet its the best at its price.
And yes LED's have less power consumption.

When i asked for Wave II here.. they said that it will take another months or so for this model to be available....
If it would be available in a week or so(as you mentioned), it would be great...

beside the review so far suggests the super AMOLEAD screen by FAR is better than super LCD, so not understand the fuss around this phone at all, !!!
other than larger screen has nothing more to offer at all

Yes it is about 17-18k only.I went out to buy this and the Samsung store here says it will be available within 2-3 days and price is around 17-18k. Don't believe internet reviews where it says it 25k and around 430 euros thats bogus.GSMarena is quite right by stating it as 300 euros.Go for it.I can't wait for even couple of days to get my hands on it. :)

My wiafe has a Samsung Wave "I", the Bada OS is better than Symbian^3 and Android 2;; I recommend that phone, since it´s a full smartphone with good messagin system, marvelous camera and excelent user interface.
