i like this, where date released available in the phillppines? i want bigger screen. but if this wave2 is higher than price of nokia n8, ill go to n8...
Super clear LCD is ok for me, SuperAmoled its super brighter the true color not balance. like when you take a picture SAMOLED it is look whitish color, but super clear LCD is balance and true color. not whitish and not blurred.

Anonymous, 15 Nov 2010HI Wave Insider,
Tell me one good reason why i should bu... moreLet me tell u that the super clear lcd provided by samsung is way better than s-lcd(super lcd) provided by other manufacturers. I would agree with you that super amoled is better than super clear lcd ONLY IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. In indoor conditions it wud b hard to pin point which screen is better unless you r biased towards either of them.
I would still say if you want a wave immediatly then you got to wait for the wave II as the Wave I stock is very scarce. If you ve the patience to wait til mid next year then u wud get the Wave I with similar hardware specs and a better OS version.

wave insider, 15 Nov 2010 Hello to all the ardent wave fans out there. I wud like to... moreHI Wave Insider,
Tell me one good reason why i should buy the samsung wave II instead of the original waveS8500?
the super AMOLED is definitely more vivid than S-LCD (proved on youtube with experimenting), the 3G max speed is 3.6 mbps (pathetic). To tell u the truth the 3.7 inch does not matter. and the BADA upgrade would be available to the original wave as well.
Only thing that original wave is not available anywhere in India right now and i am not willing to wait till mid next year to get the original wave. and definitely i wont buy this Wave 2.
So i think Samsung lost a regular customer here..by this so called Super AMOLED strategy.
If u know, let me know where i can buy the original wave?
thanks
The Ritz

INTIMATOR Pandarathi, 14 Nov 2010Oh my god am in great dialamo ,,,,First of all i do have a... moresuper amoled is definitely better than super clear lcd, but here's the catch. since samsung is running short of s-amoled screens it wud not b possible to replace the screen on wave if there's any mishap. Also super amoled does not represent any picture accurately, it is an exaggeration of contrast.
One more thing to note is that super clear lcd wil draw more power from the battery soyou wil get a dip in the battery's performance by 10 to 15%. Also the wave II is supposed to cost more than 420 euros(Rs25000), which is a little cheaper than the much better Galaxy S.
So its ur choice, both the phones have their pros n cons...

Oh my god am in great dialamo ,,,,First of all i do have a great confusion i.e which would be better either SUPER LCD or SUPER AMOLED ,,,and if so any one can please elaborate it ,,,so it would be very useful for others too ,,I asked only this difference b,coz there is nothing more dis-advantage rather than only having the advantage i.e
1)increasing screen size from 3.3" to 3.7"
2)MKV support
3)bada vesrion II enhanced
but the first advantage could be a dis-advantage too b,coz as the screen size is increased obviously the SIZE and WEIGHT also gradually increases i.e from 118 gm to 135 gm which is little bit heavy ,,more over a phone should not not look lik a mini laptop,,it should be compact and good in features and style,,,In these cases Samsung WAVE is BRILLIANT..So i would definitely suggest WAVE but unfortunately its production got STOPPED only B,COZ of SUPER AMOLED ,BCOZ this was the only smartphone in that make except I phones,,which inturn made the I phone company loss upto 2 million $,,So finally what I phone did they bought the entire super amoled company production into their own,,which inturn samsung to stop WAVE.....and my only question is ,,,Will SUPER LCD beat SUPER AMOLED.....pls do discuss if u
know any thing regarding this bcoz(SMALL DROPS CAN MAKE BIG OCEAN)

Dear Friends,
I know all of u have tones of questions to clarify about this phone. So lets take each and every questions of ur's and start:
1. Difference between Super Clear LCD & Super AMOLED display. The most common difference that we all know is that they are LCD and LED respectively. Both these technologies have strong reasons for their existence in the market. The plus points of the LED technology over the LCD technology is on the basis of these factors : consumption of power, sharpness & richness of color in watching movies and images, minimal response time and last but not the least screen legibility under outdoor or daylight condition. These are certain facts that are to be noticed in any displays. Samsung's aim was to integrate all these factors into one display technology that can be mass produced and at a minimal cost. The Super AMOLED displays are a bit difficult for them to be mass produced due to which samsung had to discontinue the supply of the original wave S8500. Therefore the only alternative that was left with samsung was to develop a technology that could fulfill the likes of Super AMOLED display and could be mass produced so that they can meet the rising demand of this phone in the market. Thanks to samsung the display is 0.4 inches bigger this time so watching movies will definitely be a boon on the huge screen.
2. The body of this handset is exactly the same as compared to the original wave i.e; brushed aluminium casing believe me it's the toughest one and one more amazing thing about this phone is the front glass mounted on this phone is made of Scratch resistant oleophobic surface. This material is the one used in the latest apple iphone 4 & nokia n8. So no need to worry about finger print on ur display any more.

ABC, 06 Nov 2010Dear Friends all over the world. I have had an opportunity... moreI agree with ABC. I used WAVE for few weeks before I shifted to another one as HARDWARE keyboard is must for me. Let me tell you that SAMSUNG's BADA is extremely stable, very responsive, has good graphical appearance but not at the expense of speed or battery, supports virtually every video format on planet and the best part its battery life. I haved used GALAXY S, Milestone and even iPhone3GS but none could last for two full days with my kind of browsing, calls, emailing and video playback. Had SAMSUNG ADDED hardware keypad to this phone, I would have never given it up..
