Samsung silently releases updated Galaxy J7 Prime 2
Without any fuss, Samsung unveiled an updated Galaxy J7 Prime 2 on the Indian section of its website. The phone appears to be an updated version of the Galaxy J7 Prime with miniature design changes like the capacitive buttons.
It arrives with Android Nougat out of the box, octa-core CPU on an Exynos 7 chipset and a revamped 13 MP selfie camera.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2’s chip is most likely the same Exynos 7870, seen in the original J7 Prime, because the clock speed of the CPU is unchanged at 1.6 GHz. Specs like RAM, storage and microSD availability also remain unchanged - 3 GB + 32 GB + up to 256 GB.
Although the primary camera is 13 MP with f/1.9, it offers Visual Search through Samsung Mall. There is also Samsung Pay Mini availability in India where the Galaxy J7 Prime 2 will be marketed. The front camera now comes with live AR stickers and filters, instant share and instant editing, for all the social addicts out there.

Size-wise, the phone has not changed - it sits at 151.7 x 75 x 8 mm, but now weighs 170 g. The battery remains the same - 3,300 mAh, charged via a micro USB port.
The Galaxy J7 Prime 2 is currently revealed only in Black, but Champagne Gold version is also on its way. The price tag is INR13,990, which is about €175 or $215.
