Kira, 13 Apr 2010i got the phone also and it is charging .50 cents does anyo... moreHi Kira ~ If you mean it's charging .5 for texting, mine did the same thing when I first got it. You'll need to call Customer Service at Net10 to have them reprogram your phone for .3 for texting. It only takes a few minutes if you can get a good support tech.

I just got this phone today and I already love it.The camera has good graphics,the texting is also great,and I can buy my fav. ringtones off the internet right from my phone.I'd give this phone 5 stars.the only flaw there is is that it takes awhile to send picture messages but that's it :)

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2009message keep poping up when i try to send photo or browser,... moreyou have to resize the image under a certain pixel number otherwise it wont send because it is to big. just make it smaller (in your options on t401g ) the picture sending works perfect. Also, most will have to call customer service to get the 4 long codes to reduce their txt charges from .05 to .03 cents per message.

Once I referenced the Website price per text and this posting she spoke to her supervisor and had me enter in the four very long codes to get the price down to 0.3 units.

However when I activited it it was charging .05 cents per msg. I had to call Net10 cust service, spoke with a person who barely spoke english that didnt believe me when I told them that the .03 cent msg is advertised right on the box and on the Net10 website!! I told the cust service rep I wanted to speak to a supervisor then all of the sudden they discovered a way to get my phone to charge .03 cents per messgage!! I had to enter and enormously long code 4 times in to the phone and then it worked. How Net 10 won the prestigious J.D. Power award for customer service is a mystery to me!

this phone is cool but one thing bothers me when i send a pic or vid it costs 2.50 min then it starts taking off more minute by minute it all adds up to about 7 mins for one pic i dont get that somebody needs to fix that
