No WiFi, No Radio, and No secondry video call camera also no GPS only the A-GPS, u can buy a phone from other companies with all said specification in lower price range,this is realy a very expensive phone pricewise. Dont mind Samsung.com

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2009It looks like a fat LG Viewty!If you would have taken the time to compare them, you would see that the Memoir is skinnier and thinner than the Viewty, although it is slightly heavier and taller. I'd rather a phone be thinner, as would almost everyone else.

This is a T Mo 3G phone like the T919. I've tried both and find data speeds not at all comparable to AT&T 3G. I actually use a Nokia N95 8gb on T Mobile network now which loads pages faster then these carrier locked phones. I say get a unlocked Nokia for the price if you are a practical person.

you can listen to music. it has a headphone jack and it comes wit some headphones. The headphone jack is the same one you plug the charger into. i put some music on mine and you can turn the volume up twice as loud as the regular phone volume but only in the music player. This is good because now i can listen to my own music at the gym during my workout. Yeah but no 3.5mm headphone jack that would stick out to far anyway if you think about it.

i just got memoir and im playing with it. Video is not so good like the video samples of pixon. Major problem with the camera is you CAN NOT turn off the shutter so every time you take a pic it makes a very loud noise. I put it on silent but it still plays noise very loud. The camera is not that good unless the object can be very still for about 3 - 4 seconds. slight move and picture may be blurry. maybe i can play with the iso .but im thinking about returning it tomarrow. touch screen is ok with finger but better with finger nail. but to tell you the truth Samsung may have just lost a customer. I will play with phone all day tomarrow since im off work but things are not looking good for camera phone fans. oh the flash really does work. i thought it was a gimmick but in lower light it makes it look like the light is on in the room. video for some reason really looks bad to me. in low light not dark but a room with one light on its horrible but in very well lit room its ok. So maybe outside in sun it will look alot better. That touch wiz thing is pretty cool i didn't think i would care for but it will come in handy. I gotta find a way to get this shutter off :(

Get the 5800! sure the UI is not the 8th wonder of the world, but you have wifi, radio and all that stuff missing in the Memoir... Besides, Nokia´s cams are very nice! And trust me... you don´t really need the additional MPs...

I upgraded to this phone today and expect it Tuesday. This will be my first Samsung phone. I usually have Nokias. I currenly use a Nokia 5310 and sold a Nokia N82 to get this phone it. My only gripe with this phone is no FM radio, stereo speakers, or Wi-Fi. But the camera and touchscreen make up for it. If I don't like this phone I'll send it back to T-Mobile and get a Nokia 5800 or N86. But I hope I like the Memoir. It has a nice feature set and Killer camera. I'll keep everyone posted on my thoughts after I receive it.

i would appreciate comments from people who have USED this phone. how is the battery life, my phone doesn't last for more than a day. also how fast the phone is in opening and closing applications?? thanks.

there are other t-mobile phones w/ wi-fi. its not just tmobile, look at at@t and verizon. a majority of their phones do not have wifi either.most carrier phones will NOT have wifi coz they ALL want you to get their carrier specific internet service. it doesnt matter to me one bit, i have internet at home, so why the heck do you need it on your phone? its cool, yes, but its NOT a necessity. if your stuck in the middle of the desert, are you gonna have wifi signal? NOPE! but you can have at least a chance to get a carrier's signal for internet. point is, wifi NOT THAT IMPORTANT!!!!!

It is just one of their marketing strategy.
