i got the java-function to work, at least it says "activated"

after that i upload both the .jar & .jad -files to my phone, trying to install thru the 1byte .jad-file.. it just say "file not supported" and i dont get any question about if i want to install file or not...HELP!

        when i press the code, i cant "see" the digits after the "*#" is this correct?!

        and do i press "send" after the whole combination of characters?

          @Njaks.

          Yea the code works :D. I got java games off torrent websites.

          When you press the code it will activate the install java midlet, then you will have to have the .jar & .Jad file of the game. You can get a jar maker if the game only came with .jad.

          Then click on .jad and install. i have got quite a few on my phone now :D. Not every game works.

            hi, im gettin U600 in a few days, nd i was wundrin whether its a good choice???? are ther any bad thing bout it? im not sure coz its got all these features on it nd tht usually meanns a lot of crashes etc. on the long term. thnx!!!!

                say, i realized tat thrs no english dictionary program available in U600, does any1 know of a Java based english dict. for U600? (if only it works like nokia with Symbian OS,so i could jz instal a new program to it, sighh) and somebody pls gimi a simple and clear explanation about firmware cz i haf no idea abt wat issit, upgrading firmware?doest tat mean like formating a computer?becoming an empty phone wit no function until u reinstal a new firmware?

                  maybe,bt u600 TOTALLY turned it screen off whn its slided down, ive gt no idea if thrs a solution. ive used D500 b4 n its screen shows u time,date, msges and missed call w/o u sliding up. bt thanks 2u makin me realize abt tis issue il try mess around wif it n c if thrs a way.then il get to u asap =)

                  n73s 3G which i thk its useless, joystick is a no for me..ive gt too many frens gt their joystick not workin jz like flip openin phones get loosen easily.i wun consider abt n73 if i were u, on the other hand about SE, its well known for their sound quality, basically u dun hata consider abt SE with u600 they r both reliable, unless its flip, or with a joystick. if u like the slim and sexy one get u600 like i did.if u prefer better sound quality get SE but hey..u600 is comparable wit SE too :)

                    Hi All

                    Quick question (quicker than the post before this :-P)
                    Does anyone know if you can set your phone to be able to see if you have a message or a missed call when the phone is closed - Unless I hear it, I have to open the phone to see if I have a msg, is there anyway to be able to show a message symbol or anything on the standby screen (like nokias and SE)
                    I'm new to Samsung and i'm unsure.

                    Any help will be appreciated.

                      u guys are really helpful.Well at least more helpful than those working in Samsung.I sent them a couple of email of questions regarding my newly bought Samsung U600 but they havent replied me.So maybe when u're free you could give me a little help and send me a reply on these questions to my email address?I'm really lost here.Thanks.Take your time.

                      1)Is it true that if I replace my original SGH-U600 690 mAH battery to a SGH-X820 1000 mAH battery,my phone will work properly and the battery will last longer?

                      2)The wallpaper shown on my phone in idle mode is the picture of the Kuala Lumpur Twin Tower.How is it if I do not want to show this but show maybe the Eifel Tower or the Big Apple or any scneary that has got to do with other countries.I have tried changing the Time Zone to Australia and so on but the wallpaper still remains to the Kuala Lumpur Twin Tower wallpaper.

                      3)How do I use Yahoo Search?First of all,where can I even find this Yahoo Search function?

                      4)In MY FILES,when i go into VIDEOS or MUSIC,when i click OPTIONS i notice there is something called KEY MANAGEMENT(the number 12 option for you to select once you click options)but it is always unable to be accessed.Even the same for in SETTINGS.Everytime i click on it they will say that it is empty.This goes the same for the option ACTIVATE(the number 4 option)It also cant be accesed.By the way,what is this KEY MANAGEMENT and this ACTIVATE?What are they for?

                      5)Does samsung have ringer profile?Meaning,i would sometimes be outdoor and i will want my phone to ring loud and vibrate.Sometimes I am in a theathre and I do not want my phone to be completely silent but I do not want it to ring either so if by just having the vibration would do good.Then sometimes when I am in a meeting and cant answer calls at all,I would want to switch the profile to be completely silent.How do i do these?From what I see here,I can only choose between Normal mode(which is loud and vibrate) or Silent...OR it is Normal mode or Vibrate.Can't I have all 3??

                      6)When my picture files are stored in my memory card,I cant browse thru pictures while I am in Full screen mode(like left and right).But,when the pictures are stored in the phone,I can do so.There will be an arrow up there where I can straight away click right to view to the next picture but when it is in memory card,I have to quit full screen mode,go to the other picture and click on it again etc etc.Why is this happening?

                      7)When I type my messages,there will be a very irritating sound.To disable the sound I have to lower the volume key till it is zero.But then everytime I do so,when I use the camera mode,there will be no sound.then i have to quit the camera mode and on the volume again then go back in camera mode again and take pictures.Then after taking pictures I have to lower the volume back to zero again.Is there another way?

                      8)In camera settings,what does EXPOSURE MATERING and MACRO means?

                      9)Why are most of the games in JAVA WORLD in demo version??

                      10)Why doesn't the smart search function search files in the memory card as well?

                      11)When in idle mode,I can see on my top left corner near the signal bar there is an alphabet E sometimes G.Why does it always change?

                      12)Is it possible for me to watch TV programs or anything with this phone through either GPRS or EDGE or whatever?

                      13)How does the uTrack function works?Where can I even access this function?

                      14)How do I sort my music files by NAME.Now it only sorts by DATE as in the latest file I receive will be placed at the top list but I want it to be sorted by NAME.

                      15)Do you have the UNLOCKING CODE for the game TETRIS in JAVA WORLD?It is only in DEMO VERSION.Or do you have any other codes for the other demo games there.

                        A)Yes this phone can play music using bluetooth Stereo Single headsets or Bluetooth Stereo Dual Headsets.

                          A)Yes you can play music and txt, multitasking is doable on this phone.

                          A)numberpad is not touch sensitive, only top 4 buttons on the phone are. The keys aint like the E900. But feels almost as good. If you want keys like E900 u should buy a Samsung U700.

                                jad/jar, dont seem to work on u600! tried earlier, but to.. D500 i think.. same .jar..

                                any other who knows a site escapially made for u600? if theres any site like that yet! :)

                                  ur right, the phone SHOULD be able to multitask - using both music and other functions!

                                  my old K610 works fine multitasking, and most of later SE-phones dont have problem playing music while doing other stuff..

                                  Dont think so.. but maybe i missed some "hidden menu" that allows u to multitask between music and menues.. hmm?

                                        U600 is a amazing phone and they are avaliable in UK FREE contract and Phone as well , I bought it through a website called www.citimove.co.uk check it out !
