    I have had this phone for alomst one week now and I have had to charge the battery 3 times. Has anyone else experienced short standby/talk time? Also the front part seems to be loose but I'm getting a new one. Is anyone else's phone joint a bit loose?

        I'm really happy with this phone. I had to wait 2 weeks for it but its gorgeous and easy to use! Only downside is text messaging. It doesn't tell you when it's going into 2, 3 msgs etc. Does anyone know if this can be changed?

          I've had this phone 3 days now, and I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying it. I swapped this phone for the N73 (which was pitiful) and it is such a vast improvement.

          The touch buttons are extremely user-friendly, the screen is a perfect size (not too big, like the N73 and not to small like my old K750i). I have never had any trouble with any of my Samsungs (apart from a slight camera issue with my E530, but once it had been repaired it was back to tip-top shape).

          The camera on this phone is of a good quality, I didn't think it would be as good as the N73 but I would say it's a serious competitor.

          There are only two things this phone has a downside with, and that is the fact it takes
          Micro SD cards and not Mini SD like the N73, so I had to by a new card. The other thing is the slide does not feel entirely secure, but I imagine that's because of how thin it is. It isn't a major issue though, and nothing that would put me off buying the phone.

          If you have to choose between all the 3.2 megapixel cameras (K800i, N73, K810i, U600), choose this one, it's the best all-rounder.

            Madonion:..

            yes, well i must have been a little tired when i tried the functions of the phone :)

            BUT.... does anyone else experience a noisy "buzzing sound" in the background of included Java-games, and also when trying to play the included alarm-clock signals??!

              @Njaks.

              Easy. Settings/sound settings/message tone/text message then select it at tone option.

                  It seems people are too lazy to read the older posts... Anyway, as fas as I know there are 6-7 U600 colours: red, blue, gold (copper), platinum, black, silver (and white). The difference between silver and platinum is that the other one is a bit darker shade of grey.

                  It seems that most countries have either the blue one available or the blue, red and gold ones. The rest of the colours aren't available yet and it will probably take months until they are.

                  IMO, it's a shame Samsung decided to release these colours first (red, gold, blue) as I think black, platinum and gold would have been a better combo. One reason for this might be that Samsung knows people tend to buy black/silver mobiles and so they want to sell first colours like red, blue and gold so that people are forced to pick one of the three.

                            Someone has previously said how to turn off auto focus.
                            How do i do this? , i heard you can turn it off, and just hold in the button half way to enable it for that shot.
                            Anybody know?

                                Yea i saw the questions u asked to him :D. The e900 samsung has wake up alert or something like when u have ur phone in silent the alarm still sounds.Samsung u600 cant lol. Man if u havent gotten any new features with the latest firmware i dont see the point in updating it :(.

                                  What i meant to say about the wake up function was that it does not exist as a setting, you can set the phone as an alarm for every morning or 1 morning watever you ike, but to reiterate once again there is no actual setting called wake up call.

                                    @Madonion

                                    I have no idea which firmware is the best, all i did was download the latest created which I think was this one

                                    U600DXGE1

                                    DX = Region
                                    G = Year
                                    E = Month
                                    1 = Revision

                                    so by that breakdown of the firmware it means mine

                                    Region = Malay, Singapore
                                    Year = 2007
                                    Month = May
                                    Revision = 1

                                    So its the latest firmware i could find.

                                    As for the wake up call, there is no such function, you can set it to for wake up calls, but there is no option for it.

                                    My grief with Najks was that he could make his phone alarm go off when it was in silent mode, he is the only person i have found that can do it.
                                    I still can't do it with the latest firmware

                                      Yes it can save to memory stick. Go into camera or camcorder mode. go into settings, scroll to ur right and there is the option. Btw if u save ur photos to memory stick then u wont be able to edit them. You can only edit your pics when its saved onto the phone.
