Currently have a sony ericcson which is fine but looking at either u600, u700 or e840 as next phone but unsure as to samsung adapters?? anyone advise??

right, if i set the alarm, then put the phone on silent (or first put the phone on silent and then set the alarm) it will actually go off!
ive heard of them who can set the alarm, put the phone on silent, then turn of the phone - still the alarm will go off!

@najks
So people with the same firmware as you say the alarm doesn't sound in silent mode, but your phone is the only one that does it. Amazing.
I have even flashed my phone to the latest firmware release u600DXGE1 and still know alarm tone in silent mode.

Hi all,
I'm really interested in this phone but I wonder if there's a converter that can allow the usage of common 2.5 mm or 3.5 mm earphones? As quoted from Cnet:
"We were disappointed, however, that you can't attach your own headphones and have to use the proprietary ones, particularly as the sound quality isn't great. Niggles about the lack of built-in 3.5mm headphone jack or adaptor and the fiddly touch-sensitive keys aside, the Samsung U600 is a good thin phone with plenty of features that we enjoyed using."

This is a crucial factor for me to consider as my fussy earholes only accepts those sony ericsson plug-ins so I'll really appreciate the advice from u kind souls out there! :)

Naw it wont be old! What more do u want in a phone :D. Its sleek, sexy, great camera and big beautifull screen and you can buy a X820 battery,to make it go longer than 3 days :D.

Like in previous posts, the battery will get better stamina the more times u charge it..
Or just buy a spare battery, for example on Ebay, works with batteries for X820 / D900!

Hi there,
How long do your phones last for everytime you charge it? Mine only lasts 2-3 days despite leaving it unused. Is this normal? What should I do?

Yes you can have vibration an melody at the sime time, but only for incomming calls. Txt messages which only an option for melody, or vibration. But not both together. Hope this helps.
