1 when you said you have to press [i] to unlock the keypad then press the end call button I thought you only need to press the [i] button to end the call ??? as it says here in the u600 manual this
The [i] only unlocks the keypad. Once you've pressed the [i] you have to press the END CALL button.
Or failing that Just Slide the Phone shut...
if i hit the call button by mistake and it started to ring someone but i wanted to cancel the call before the person picks it up this is what ther other person ment

the cancel call button isnt actualy workin to cancel calls, it work to exit out of menus and different applications, and also to delete text but it doesnt allow me to cancel calls!
It doe work to Exit menue's And it also works to end calls..
does this phone cancel calls that you dont want to make thats what i am getting at

also and this is the big but when you make a call and the slider is closed and you use the phone book to call your friend and when your finished and hang up by pressing the [i] or the power and hangup button to exit a call does the phone lock the keypad stright after this as once you hung up i want to put it back in my pocket or do you have to manualy lock the keypad yourself every time you end a call in this way ???

its exellent that you can have a video of your friend and have it play when he rings you , lol
1 will it still play a mp3 rintone when it plays the video when your friends ring you
2 and you can have diffrent clips for each person can you ????

so you can recored video stright to the extra memory card and pictures this is good news as the d900 did not let you do this

To end a call, press[i] or [power button] to unlock the keypad and press [hangup key]
states this on page 19 in the pdf manual is this right ?????

earlyer I said I didnt think you could save direct to mem card
But I Just had another play with the Camera...
You CAN save direct to memoey card...

The End call button DOES Work.
You have to press the i button to unlock the keypad then Press the End call button works fine...
how do you cancel phone calls then if this does not work as somtimes i have hit the wroung button on my SE phone and just hit cancel is anyone on here having this same problem ???

Looks like the menu alowes it but no new downloads as of yet.
So it a YES and NO
5 can you cutomice the main buttons to do diffrent things as my SE let me do this
YES (There are short cuts)

realy, that sounds like a big problem for the u600, they should have work with al the problems before they release a fully functional phone.

I'd get your phone checked.
My U600 call quality is excellent. Cristal clear. Probably one of the bast phone for call quality that I've had for quite a wile.
Although i would agree with you regarding the touch sensitive buttons. But I'm sure I'll get used to that.
An all round good phone IMO

i have had the phone for a few days now, very good phone apart from a couple if things

2, the touch senstive buttons are very sensitive and i have had a few problems ringing people when i didnt mean to etc
3, the cancel call button isnt actualy workin to cancel calls, it work to exit out of menus and different applications, and also to delete text but it doesnt allow me to cancel calls!
Any1 got the same problems and/or any suggestions?

sorry for the question but i have never used samsung phones and i am interested in the u600
The U600 is totally different to previous SAMSUNG's.
The texting is more like SE (in T9 Mode when you type a word in a box come up with all alternate words in, Then you scroll up/down to the word needed)
Also you can have polyphonic or MP3 ring-tone for Message tones...
And you can alter the size of the fonts in the Menu's
The camera is now in Landscape mode So you have to put the U600 on it's side to take pictures (Just like an normal camera)
The U600 is improved it just about every way.. It's a top notch phone
