Geez thats a disapointment, no CIF video

What the hell is wrong with Samsung??? Why the hell would you downgrade such an important spec in your latest model phone.

Other than its a hot looking phone.

I like it.

Bought this phone yesterday and so far so good.

Only thing i have noticed is that in order to close the camera you have to go into the menu and select exit, you cant just close it by pressing the cancel button.

The maximum video recording size is 352x288

Touch sensitive buttons are great, much better than the E900

Would deffinately recommend the U600.. dont be put off by the touch buttons!

U700 is 3g phone with real playerand 3 megapixel cam!
while U600 is only edge with 3.2 megapiixel and probably is cheaper compare with U700

Looks like this superb phone is really only recording in QCIF video. What a shame....

          Dear Joe
Your 10/4 message is wrong. Although, you can put a 1 gig card in the D900, it can only use up to 500 meg.
Can the U600 save direct to card?

man the U600 and the U700 have exactly the same camera with 2048x1536 resolution! It means that both phones is ~ 3.2 mega.
and i dont like the touch sensetive buttoms. i much prefer u700 wich dosent have sensetive buttoms, but is has insteed music wheel for the ipod minded. it has also HSDPA and full html support.

u700 has a third of the memory of the u600, plus main camera is lower. u600 is 3.2, u700 is 3. main difference is bigger way more memory in u600 in my eyes
                      plus sexier and sleeker!!

                          Hi

Can anyone confirm th video recording mode in the U600 is it the old qcif mode, or the the higher cif resolution. As i feel this is an important point to clarify for anyone considering buying this phone

Why you people get u600 when you can get u700 both with gsm and new 3g support? i rather choose the later because it is packed with more features and its a nicer loking phone in my eyes.

likewise, waiting on o2 to get the phone in. saw a handset in vodafone, out of its box, very sleek and sexy!! 0-9 buttons are like the d840, not hard to manage at all.
all in all a superb phone it seems!! but will find out more in a week or so

getting this phone from o2 on an upgrade in about a week. they offered me the phone for free and money off my contract, so its only £20 a month for 12 months! not a bad deal i thought. anyway, as soon as i get it i will post a review and answer some of your questions.

Found a website showing battery life, not sure how reliable it is. It says:
3.5 hours (210 mins) of Talk time
                                        250 hours (10 days) of Stand-by time
