Try to change the audio format. or transfer the audio files using samsung pc studio.
Its really a weird prob. I have faced this problem once(not u600 in ipod).SO i know how much annoying it is .

hey man, i really need ur help..i just wanna know when someone calls , why doesnt it show if it's mobile or home or fax...etc next to his/her name, it's really weird, it just shows the name and i have to guess from which number that person's calling..i really hope there's a fix for that

erm well lots of people on here have said that when somebody calls they cant get up the name/fax/or whatever. when i had the phone mine did show up so i dont know whats wrong there ask RAFSAN he should know. but about the vidio freeze thing, well when i recoreded a vidio it would freeze for about 5 secs and then be okay but not turn off(or whatever your phone does, i cant remember now) again, your best to ask RAFSAN. He knows his stuff sorry i couldnt be more help!(that isnt sarcastic by the way but its not lol!)

I also believed that I've transfered my musics files wrong, so I moved them to my PC and when I listened from my PC it played the whole file not only 20 seconds. I transfered again to my phone as a new music file and still have the problem.
Examle: I have a file named "BAD DAY DANIEL POWTER.MP3" As you can see it doesn't have more than 32 characters but it only plays 00:18 and it lasts 00:29. It really pist me off!

To all CONS: If you plan to buy cellphones, suit your needs, read its spec first and make sure you understand. There are other models of the same brand that will surely suit all your needs. Ok! but for me samsung is the best brand........

ummm.... so wat your saying is the phone looks amazing then...pity the features and performance dont match the looks then isnt it... Just got rid of mine after 3 months of being extremely unhappy.. Not bad for the price tho, i just got myself an LG VIEWTY, ohhhh soooooo much better

ilovesamsungu600 is sooo right! the pictures of this phone don't do it any justice but once u actually have it in ur hands its sooooooooo much nicer! if ur like me and ur ordering it and u aren't able to see it in a store first...check out youtube, there's a lot of videos on this phone and u can kind of see it more up close and some videos will go through the menu and stuff so u can get a better look at it....but this phone is amazing!!!!

OMG! i bought this phone about a week ago, and i just LOVE it!
it actually looks ugly on the picture, but you have to go to a shop and have a look coz itz totally different! i LOVE the menu inside! if youre thinkin to buy this phone, what are you waiting for?! go and get one right now! (i sound like an ad, but itz an AWESOME phone! lol)

@blaze.....thx but when u said faulty did u mean the contacts thing or the video recording freeze thing??...i'm actually more concerned bout the contacts

It's better than older Samsung phones in things that were most annoying.
You can set any sound for alarm, ringtone or message.
Message is still sending when you close the slider.
You can have vibration and ringing at the same time.
You can record your phonecalls.
Good camera but slow initialization and slow shooting.
Keys are like on slim motorolas, not to bad.
It has 5 fully programmable alarms.
Something lika a notepad.
Not bad at all for the price, i think.

@Rafsan,
Is battery life is good. Mine comes just 1 day if i use continuosly. Not more than that. Can we use some other beattery with more mAh have anyone tried it.

I have finally had enought of my u600.. In response to a previous post. it takes 4-8 seconds between tracks to play mp3 from memory card... Also browsing the tracks is extremely slow...

i think maybe you should consider LG KU990, i have just traded my Samsung U600 in because it didnt suit me at all... ITs a great looking fone, very slim, sleek and stylish.. but im sorry, the camera, mp3 player all underperform too much for my liking... memory access is the slowest i have ever cam across... but EVERYTHING else works spot on and it was a great phone that didnt perform where i needed it too... So ive got myself an LG KU990..... all i am saying is WOW!!!
