I bought that phone on the on January 4th 2009 and i am impressed. Great Touch-Screen function. Great Pictures backround and great 3.2 Megapixel Camera. Those who made it, did a great Job.

stop complaining about the silver that peels off... every silver phone peels, and maybe this is one of the extreme cases. Buy the black phone. I have been using it for a month now and the skin and screen are still the same. Great phone!! You just have to be careful with it just like another slide phone

this fone is a piece of sh*t! i have this fone for a about a year.. and in about 1 month, the silver peels off! samsung should have not put the silver peeling because its totally useless! and in about 8 months, the flex ribbon breaks! i had replaced it and after less than a week, it breaks again, then i returned it because the flex has warranty.. then after few days, it breaks again, then i return, after an hour it breaks again then i return, after few minutes it breaks again! the technician is totally pissed off with this fone, and so am I totally pissed off! its a waste of tym, effort and money! I do not recommend this fone! Nokia still rocks the celphone technology! now ive got my n82 for about 8 months, and it's totally complete! great camera, video recording, easy for applications, themes, no hung ups and great quality! it's worth it for your money! unlike this piece of sh*t! totally crap!

Had this fone for 10 months the camera is great an the interface is beautiful but its rlly fragile an the silver will strip of but i will look ok when its all gone. The internet is great though. I'm actually browsing on it rite now.

I have had this phone under a year now and I dont love it. Yes all the silver peeled off, but once its all gone it looks ok, but the touch buttons are so damn sensitive! always putting people on hold or sending blank texts! The camera is awesome and I really like the functionality - but the touch screen kills it!
Also, my screen just disapeared, Samsung replaced it but I am upgrading!
Have used Samsung before and I really love them but this phone definitely has some flaws - I dont recomend it.

tis phone sux. not particularly outstanding in features, and it attracts fingerprints easily. had it just under a year, accidently dropped it while sleeping on the bed, and the touch buttons died.

I like the clarity of the photos..looks like it was taken by a DSLR, PROVIDED that there is good lighting
HOWEVER!
ribbon/flex easily breaks..mine was broken twice..
my second flex was replaced by samsung warranty AUGUST 2008 and was defective by DECEMBER 2008.
phone's coating easily peels off..and if you buy a new one it costs you another phone..geezz..
poor video quality..really poor..like it was taken by a VGA camera...lots of pixelating
but other than that great speakers (indoor)
great music - bass plays nice w/ the earphones
battery is pretty sensitive..
if I am given the chance to take my money back..I would'nt buy this phone..i'll opt to an open faced phone by nokia..

I have had this phone just over 12 mnts and the screen has blanked out. Absolutely disgusted with the quality of Samsung and will not use any products from this company in the future.

hey, I have had this fone for 8 months now and I cant complain, those guys who went for silver should get a black fone in their next buy coz silver tends to peel off irrespective of the make of the fone....owise my black U700 is the best piece I have ever acquired.
