Does anyone know how to turn off GPRS on U700 to maximize battery life? And how to increase the video recording time? Mine has just 4about seconds. I got a 1GB memory card.

anyway what the hell happen to my settings for sensitivity of my touch pad...theres no options on my phone settings :(
to cres you said you can change the sensitivity of the pads. go to SETTINGS, then PHONE SETTINGS(no.4), then TOUCH SENSITIVITY (no.6)...but the options (no.6 is USB SETTING) (no.5 is Slide Setting) (no.4 is key function volume) (no.3 own number) (no.2 is shorcuts) then the last one is language...what in the world ur talking about adjusting the sensitivity of our touch pad...

*#4777*8665# This code brings you in a special menu where you can detach your gprs to improve your battery life ! Just type it as it as and the untick the power attach option ... Exit ,restart phone and that`s it . Did it today ,works like a charm although this code is meant for U600 .

And for longer battery life :
1 shut down GPRS (~20% more juice)[you won`t find this option in the menu ,it is provided by a code]
2 Use phone in GSM network (3G is energy consuming)
3 reduce screen brightness
4 although the battery is Li-Ion ,it`s still good to do 3x12 hours charge cycle
5 do not leave bluetooth on
Other energy consuming things :
-memory card
-temperature
-signal search
-excessive use
-distance from antenna
etc.

cres what firmware do u have ? type *#1234# in main screen and reply ... Also can u set mp3`s as message tones ??? Or just midi ,amr and mmf ? Just got this phone ... got 1 dead pixel :(

sales people from samsung say that black one doesnt peel. and yes, the batery seems to be a problem, it gets low for just a short time use ;-(

ken, yup, you can change the sensitivity of the pads. go to SETTINGS, then PHONE SETTINGS(no.4), then TOUCH SENSITIVITY (no.6).
Chjange it from there! hope u'll get it!!

Im getting the samsung u700 for my birthday on tuesday in purple you guys have great help system so if i get any problems ill just go to a samsung shop...
Is the battery ok??? because other talk thing say it has really bad battery but my friend said that is only if you constantly play your music.. Is this true????

anyone knows how to reduce the sensitivity of the touch buttons?.....im sure it can change as i tried it before on the sample phone.....but when i got mine, i cant seem to find the option to change it. any idea?

eunchan dont be annoyed with that issue...actually we really dont know about the phones there in abroad compare to our country BUT............anyways lets go to papi...if his phone is gud as ever...i think theres something fishy going on its either hes a lier or hes just a lier hahahaha...do u know why we are two versus one...and one is morethan two and we have same problem...anyway what a waste of time no talk about the things we hate...ciao

jerome420 got MENU -> CAMERA then click the right option choose CAMCODER then LEFT OPTION
then arrow keys to the right CHOOSE FOR FULL MMEMORY...for the bluetooth thing there is no configuration for all the incoming bluetooth files go directly to the memory card in OTHER WORD IT SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSSS welcome to the samsung worse nightmare hehehehe...anyway its still sleek phone ever...

hi i have this phone for 2 weeks already.. is the video recording of this phone limited only>>?? how can i set to save all the bluetooth file that i will ge sending will go directly to memory card??? please answer...

i have this phone for 2 weeks now i tried to send bluetooth video file, i cannot figure out how to set the phone to save the bluetooth files on the memory card, it goes directly to the phone memory, also the video recording why is it that its only limited or is there a setting to make the video longer cause mine can only record video for 30sec even though the default memory storage of the video recording is the memory card

to jin, we atually did the same thing, ive read the comments here befrore i bought it, coz many people seems to be in to this site, so i thought it may be reliable,, and it is... im also using the crystal case now,, but on the front only,, it seems to be solving the problem, but i still want to search for more,, anyway, someone named papi (down there) is not having any problem and he bought it last august.. how can that be?? maybe because the product is different in south africa.. thats pretty annoying... ;p
