yup got the phone 2dy...its been reli gd so far. At first couldnt find where to change message an ringtne settin but then i found it in settings>profile settings>edit......an then u can change message an ring tones 4 any profile..e.g silent etc
and the camera quality is all reli gd....reccommend it.....its way beta than the u600....the touch pad isnt as hard to get used to.

yes, this does it all, name it: user created themes, tone (rington, message,alarm and everything)costumization, profile and connectivity (except WIFI)but this is no smart phone. The most unique of all is the design and uniqueness from other phones. This phone does not impress to be a computer wanna be but its function is awesomely well like a phone. I do not have this phone yet but i read alot from websites that describes this phone. No NOKIAs and SEs can be compared to this phone and they cannot outdo it, because of its straight forward UI (UGO and terrific/one of kind menu display). It is just of what I know/opinion of this phone and I want one.

I like the look of this phone a lot but have a couple of queries on it before i am stuck with it for 18 months...!!
Can you assign your own MP3 song to a text thats different to your ring tone? How does the phone sound, i understand that it has a B&O sound...

On its launch day the Samsung U900 Soul will come in a choice of two colors - Platinum Silver and Soul Gray. In either case you get the same color of metallic battery cover and display framing, while all the plastic details of the Soul will be finished in different colors. However, extra trims to come (Pink, Violet, Gold, Red) will have the metallic parts altered too, but don’t expect this update to happen any time soon, as we probably won't see it for 7-8 months.

Could someone who already has the phone plz tell me... is the actual colour of the phone a darker grey? rather than the light grey/silver depicted in this pic?
Because when I see videos on you tube, there's only 1 colours, all silver/goldish or a darkgrey/black.

Superb phone, just looks brilliant! Menu system is sick, icons look great, slide works with ease, touch pad is percise, volume (not had any problems with it yet, if anything ive had to turn it down)
One question if anyone can help, how do you key lock the phone, the only way i can see to do it is, slide the phone open then close it, i would really like to be able to do it from a close posistion??!! AMAZING PHONE THOUGh!

Ok spoke to Samsung direct about this, apparently you can't change the functionality of the two soft keys. Rather disappointing as i now have a soft key whos functionality i will never use (O2 active). I was able to change this on my Nokia N70 which is over 2 years old, and in effect have another user desired shortcut, as appose to a network specific or manufacturer specific short cut.
Cheers Samsung and O2 for deciding what i want to do, i don't like to make my own mind up, I say with a hint of sarcasm.
Other than this phone is good.

Ok only had the phone a couple of hours looks smart as, liking the style and the menus are not that far from nokias so easy enough to get around. I am struggling to find to solution to one thing, and not sure if it is poss.
When the phone is in idle / desktop whatever lol, the options I have for the two function keys are: Contacts (left funtion key) and O2 active (right function key). I would like to change these to my own preference, but can only find option to change the 4 touch pad short cuts. Can this be done, if so can someone tell me how. Apologies in advance if its simple and i'm being a dumb ass.

Had this phone few days now, Great looking good menu and navigation, but one major problem is speaker volume even when set at maximum have difficulty in hearing caller and no chance of hearing ring tone, going back to my G600 shame cause lovely looking phone

To the guy posting as DAMNN SAMSUNG:
My Car at 275 Km/hr is making an irritating noise and it drives me mad. I took it to the garage and the mechanic advice me to drive it below 270km/hr which I considered a good advice.
The guy below (DAMN SAMSUNG) is complaining that if he talks 15 minutes it shuts off. Good may be you should check whether there is a Samsung automatic feature for those that talk a lot on the phone (and hate Samsung) to tell them to shut up!! Or perhaps you should try yto talk 14 minutes or less next time!!
My U900 Soul is just perfect. And, I love the new wconcept of buttons which by the way that I can adjust sensitivity. Samsung done it again!! GOOD WORK....KEEP IT UP.

Fantastic phone and i love it. small issue about the touch screen when on a call as my cheek activates it. But hey that can be worked round. Does anyone else find that the earpiece volume is low? I got it on full blast but still really struggle to hear the person talking to me. also when on video call really can't them at all. Else I adore this phone.
