    I have tried below many many time but failed.
    Why should I (consumer) who bought this expensive phone have to do this complicated thing to simply change volume? Will never again buy a samsung phone. NEVER>

    solution for calling volume :
    - Type *#0002*28346#.
    - It will bring up a menu.
    - Load Params.
    - Dump Params.
    - Call Config.
    - Go to SPK Config (press 3)
    - Then go to call config (press 2)
    - Then go to SPK Rx Call Vol (press 1)
    - Then press 6
    - Then press 40 & OK for 4.0 db.

    please tell me if u tested this

        Had the phone 1 week but have now sold it on.

        Lovely looking phone with alot of different bits to customise your phone, like colour change on touch panel, make themes on the phone, main menu list can be changed, texting is easy to do, can use mp3 for text alert & ringtone although this is not very loud so you need to use a loud tone cause even with volume up to 7 which is the loudest can be a little low on volume. Very fast with 2gb memory card in my files.

        I found that the volume when receiving a call & talking not to be very loud, its like when you watch tv late at nite & every1 else is a sleep, you tend to have the tv volume lower than normal to not wake up the rest of the household, although you can hear it you have to listen hard which is not so enjoyable as when you have it louder, same on the phone when speaking could do with being louder. The main reason i sold the phone was when receing a call & talking on phone i kept touching the magic keys with my face & opening up menus, this caused the person on the other end to not be able to hear me properly so they had to keep ringing back, found this annoying as i don't want to have to think about how to hold the phone when speaking on it. I also found that after 1 week of use the bottom right hand corner when closed had become loss so it wobbled a bit. the battery cover had also started to scratch & that was just from resting on worktops, not being in a pocket with anything touching it.

        Overall give the phone 6/10.

                    reading what everybody is sayin, its lookin pretty good for me about this phone, ime likin it...i do not have the fone but am wanting it..

                    main thigs i wanna kno is-if mp3's can b played as message tones and if normal music is loud in music player...if the volume really is not soo loud like a few prople are sayin and if it lags or freezes at all..

                        i dont quite get all these owners and their volume probs...today at the gym (was busy too) i heard my ring fine and the phone was wrapped inside my jumper on the gym floor..makes me think u sure u guys have set up the ph properly? my mp3 ring volume is plenty loud

                                      Only had the fone a few days and im really unhappy with it. I need to call 02 tomorrow and seek advice. The fone keeps turning itself off. The menus are awful after having a sony errikson. The camera aint that great either. The ringtones arnt loud, despite having good quality MP3s that play loud on other fones, so forever having missed calls.

                                      Just generally unhappy with it and the Samsung Soul has definately put me of Samsung fones. Will stick to Sonys or Nokias in the future!

                                        Can You turn off the clock on your wallpaper screen?

                                        It hides the picture your putting on your wallpaper. iv tried and tried but cannot find out how to do it. Please help!!!!
