matty, 01 Dec 2009I am seriously looking into buying this phone, it looks goo... moreMatty, the processor and graphics are the same as the iPhone. The battery life is average, if your using the phone for all its functions you may need a daily charge, some users have had email/360 service issues, however overall the phone is absolutely brilliant IMO ( im sure Gama will agree too :) ). I personally advise you visit the Vodafone store and have a play around with it and see what you think.
Gama wow you use the phone for all the right reasons!!!! Any recommended places to download movies for this phone? :)

I am seriously looking into buying this phone, it looks good and for a fair price. What is the performance like? does it lag at times? I am looking to get rid of my iphone and my issue is finding a reasonable replacement which has a good UI

I love this phone because of the amazing specs, for such a low price ( ohh my iphone friends didn't want to believe that this one costs 400 euros, against the 600 euros- vodafone, or 900 euros unlocked..I gave 3000 points plus 200...nice deal for me)
I'm not using the 360 service at full, only log in for contacts updade( i dont have any accounts, facebook , hi5 etc.. on my phone or email )
So I'm not having those problems with syncing accounts, etc etc, because i am using this just like a multimedia station , 1,9gigs of songs, 3 episodes of Police squad to get a laugh, 1 movie, a lots of sms and pics with complete albuns, and i still have 12 gigs to use...
I only go to the 360 site to update contact pictures, groups(family college etc) and phone numbers, or to use the Maps Sat nav, beyond this its a multimedia gadget full of style.
I blocked the 360 info on my cell because i like my privacy, so i dont give SatNav nudges, and by the way...WHen i use the Sat nav, i see other users with adresses,phones , names...I thought: oh my God...i must block my 360 info for sure and turn on my privacy.
I dont allow to share all my interests places or contacts to 360 community such as closest friends marked on GPS.
THis is how i am using this phone: a mix of Sony PSP with Iphone - full multimedia phone!

Nowadays you can see Iphone users very happy... moreIm glad you like the phone Gama :) I love this phone as its what I need from a phone. I remember when you 1st got it, it was about getting used to it. Now that your used to it, you like it even more. Yeah the AMOLED capacitive screen is very difficult to beat, the biggest praise this phone always gets is its display. And dont forget the 5mp camera with flash, very good browser with flash, divx support, and memory card slot to boost the memory!!! It has so many features that its up there with a lot of top of the range phones, inc the iPhone.
Again some people will criticise the phone for minor things, those who appreciate a decent phone - that lacks in a few places but more than makes up in other places - will really like this phone :)

Nowadays you can see Iphone users very happy bla bla..asked them how did they felt 1 or 2 years ago when they found that they couldn't even record video or MMS, forward sms..well that is so much worst then Email Sync problem or Browser error,or Maps getting slow etc...I love Iphone but for me its too expensive and for months i was looking for an great option...Satio, Xperia 10,Nokia X6....but then i heard this one...tested on the shop and saw the specs...And thought for me and for what i need: Iphone killer..or almost!!
And when my friends with Iphone saw and loved it too and compared a lot with Iphone, i thought too that I'v done a great buy even with bugs, and another one thing!...They said: that Amoled screens beats a lot!!!
And the glass is almost made from the same material as Iphone, Processor the same, 16 gigs and its an open System!!Yes u can make Apps for Iphone and this one..but in this H1 u can go deeper than in Iphone, like u can do with Android.
I think that this phone its going to be a blast for the next times, and when the firmware comes out...bigger it will be!

Fortunately, these are not serious bugs that cause the phone to crash and overheat, or stop your browsing, etc...These are just synching problems that are experiencing with the 360 service (after the firmware update, my emails are working excellent).
And yeah similar scenario, friends with iPhone's not knowing what phone I have and amazed how similar the phones are. As much as I love the iPhone, this has that little extra that swayed me to getting this phone. Honestly have a play with the phone in the store, you'll realise how good it is :)

I've found bugs allright , like Iphone had....but i am loving it, a lot of style , great functions , very high tec too, some Iphone friends have looked amazed to this phone , they didn't know this phone and loved it so much :)
I recomend this phone!!Dont worry about the bugs , Vodafone is aware of this!Firmware is on its way!

got this phone couple of days ago and to be honest i love it, the screen is amazing and the software (yeah it has bugs) on but works fine, my fb and email arre not working very well but the rest is amazing, it wont be long b4 samsung and vodafone fix the bugs on the software

The HD has been out for more than half a year longer than this phone. They have a different build, a different camera, and a different operating system. What's the same? That they both come from Samsung?... that's only half true. I love the haters that come on every phone and bash the company. This phone may not be a huge success, but props to Samsung for putting out phones with almost every OS out there. This looks like a solid phone despite the bugs... which every phone and phone company has

it will not post them automatically to fb, once you have taken the picture you need to select the share icon at the bottom which looks like a safety pin and choose facebook. i have this phone and i am really enjoying it. there is a facebook app coming very soon for this phone. i managed to get my emails thru today by going into emails- selecting my email which is hotmail and then press sync. this will bring them all to the phone.

someone please post firmware or grab the firmware while you are updating your phone by stopping after it downloads from vodafone

Can anybody tell me why its not posting my pictures to facebook,it is saying the file is published buts its not it will only post pictures to the 360webpage for me

I disagree that this phone is going to be a flop. If you look so many other smart phones out there (Nokia N97, Blackberry Storm 2, SE Satio, etc..) they have many issues. On the Samsung H1 SOME people have had email issues, inc myself, a lot of these SOME people have resolved their issues, inc myself, unfortunately the rest are still working to resolve theirs. I would much rather have issues such as the email not synching and trying to resolve this rather than have the phone freezing all the time, crashing all the time, buttons not working, phone over heating, etc.....
If your gonna moan about minor issues then DONT buy this phone, go elsewhere. I personally love this phone and I truly believe its a dark horse in the current Smart phone market...
