Just to say there is a new search light app that you can download for free Vodafone 360 site. Its not brilliant as it doesnt use the camera flash lite or light at the bottom of the phone, instead uses the main screen as a light. But it does work in a dark room so at least its not that bad :)

ps anyone having SatNav probs ie it not working properly? Make sure your 360 account is logged on ( if the dot next to the battery is red then its logged off, if its green then its on.) Also make sure the network settings are on UMTS.

Unfortunately you only have 3 message tones to choose from and cannot customise it. However the ringtone can be chosen to whatever you like. You need to chose the phone profile under phone settings, chose the profile you want to change and can change your ringtone there.

Ah right got it pal! I always gave up hope before the icons came up, but now it's workin fine. Cheers for the help Tom, is there any other good free GPS that you know of?

Danny, the sat nav is on the maps, you need to click the icon that looks like a road with an arrow on it - and then search your address you want to go to, then click the car or walk icon - but for me it often takes about 3 minutes for the walk or drive icon to become selectable which is too long! :(

Could anyone let me know how to use the Sat Nav?
I've obviously got the Maps option on it but I don't seem to get much from it?
                        Cheers.

Not sure about those functions yet Tom. I think the flashing light feature at the bottom of the is brilliant. I also like the fact when your on a conversation the main display switches off when next to your ear to save battery.

Soon as I work out more on the flash functions ill let you know.

Thanks, got that working - is there any way to turn a flash light on? I notice that there is some sort of light at the bottom when you get texts, can I turn that on so I can use it as a torch? or maybe just the camera flash?
Also my sat nav is completely broken now :(

Tom, to lock the phone simply press the power button for 1 second and the phone will lock. To unlock, simply press any of the 3 buttons at the bottom and slide your finger across the screen.

I have to say the more im using this phone the more im loving it. IMO a brilliant phone with great features and a great rival to the likes of the iPhone, Palm Pre and HTC Hero and TD.

Does anyone know how to lock this phone without waiting for it to auto-lock? Also I'm finding I have to charge it every day, which sucks - and the sat nav doesnt seem to work at the minute, was working fine yesterday but now I can't click the drive or walk icon to give me directions, it also says I am in Neston on the wirral when I am in North Wales? Other than that it is good, locks up a few times and the lack of text on icons is slightly annoying...but I suppose I'll get used to it.

I was presented ... moreI just read the post http://www.gsmarena.com/vodafone_360_h1-reviews-2946.php (post by Ric, 2009-11-04 16:11); quote "4) you can only use the pre-defined email acccounts (bt, sky, hotmail, yahoo) if your with someone else i.e talktalk you cannot have email on your phone." I went back to the shop and you can only select from the list of predefined email providers (i.e. hotmail, etc) but there is good few dozens of them from different countries. However, I couldn't make the device to set up an email that would work with my domain and it's extremely inconvenient to the point where I have to probably not bother with this phone. I was quite hoping that it would at least be able to receive emails from my Exchange server, but was really hoping for overall sync of everything. It's bloody 2010!

Just saw this phone vs satio in the store. I was presented with real phones and was playing with them both for more then an hour. Satio feels plasticky and sluggish. Satio's screen resolution is worse and the screen looks much dimmier (which is not surprise as its TFT vs AMOLED). Satio's camera better, but H1 5MP camera is enough for me (option for widescreen 3M photos). On top of that nice responsive interface, good feel when typing. Autorotates to anything (texting, browsing, etc). Even going through PDFs felt quite easy. The internet connection very fast (at least in the shop). Sales guy told me that it has satnav as well that I have on my blackberry and it works well for me. Build quality (brushed aluminimum, really amazing screen) felt better than that of the Blackberry Storm 2 (I only had them in my hand for an hour, so it might not be true in the long run). Sales guy also told me that it would talk with my Exchange server, so no need for Blackberry servers. Watched the video on BB S2 and on H1 and H1 wins hands down. They offer Premier League games (all of them) for a bit more about £6/month. This phone feels great! I looked up SE XE10 but even from photos it looks a bit plasticky and the interface doesn't look that great. After seeing and touching Satio and playing with it a bit it didn't feel that good, so I am not too sure about XE...

Here in the Netherlands Vodafone sells it's phones without a simlock.
So yes, the 360 is a Vodafone phone, but you can use the Vodafone 360 service (People) with any network available here in Holland.

                                        Better than an Iphone.. :-)
