Great phone, love the camera, The MP3 on my x530 holds loads of songs, It is great on the OPTUS $49 cap - looks dead cool

Too bad it has only 600kb for pictures and music or something.The mp3 player option must be a bad joke =).Looks nice...but for a basic phone,i better get a C300 slider and for same price but alot more stuff SE K300i :D

just bought the phone. its a small but sturdy sliding phone. good as a basic phone but with regards to features, its a toy. the pack contains handset, battery, travel charger, mono-headset, user manual. in absence of cable in the pack to connect to computer, the handset features an infrared port which can be useful in synching or transferring content to computer with infrared port. overall, it does what it is designed for for the price you pay.

the phone is great!! everything you need on a phone it's on it!! only the camera is 0,3 pixels...... its good to make a picture for your background but not for in a photo album

i just bought this fone IN AUS and its looking alrite. main prob is that i saw it advertised on optus pre paid with a mp3 player....dont think it does now but just making sure. Has anyone got mp3s onto it(from aus)? if it doesnt have mps- y did samsung give u headfones with it?
the camera is pretty gud for a VGA.

I just got mine recently and to tell you the truth it is crap! I only likes the looks. It's so crap. Ring tones are crap, infered doesnt work, the photo background doesnt even fit to the screen, cant download anything, the internet button is inevitable and is a waste of money,can't change the skin, cant send decent pictures, animations are crap, photo options are crap-one good foto takes 26kb and that means i can only fit 90 fotos or so and could it get any worse. I am disppointed at samsung moblies! They can so do better!

Well this phone is quite good for the basic person who just needs something basic for calls messaging and maybe a few clicks of the camera. i reccomend for mobile first timers, though if your seeking something a little more, well more features etc, well i could reccomend getting a different phone. good features though- camera has its zoom, effects and multi shot, messaging is easy, and it is very compactible, making it easy to cart around. in answer to the mms set up, well when i first got it, it was already setup and i didnt need to do anything. what does it say when you trey to send one? i could try and fix it for you.
also my infared does not work, so if anyone would like to help me i'd be delighted. one more thing, games, does anyone know any sites in which i could find some games? none seem to be compatible with this phone

For those asking about memory, please see my post from December:
"How many pictures? There is 1024Kb available for photos in the camera memory. Photos are about 3K to 6K depending on the zoom you select, so you could store up to 300 photos. There is another 600Kb available for other images and sounds."
The person asking about MMS setup.. you select Messages > Multimedia messages > MMS profile (option 9) and select your carrier. If not listed, you can manually enter the details.
And to those in Australia who bought the $149 prepaid from Optus, you can use a Virgin SIM card in this phone. This probably is the case with most Optus prepaid phones these since since Optus did buy Virgin Mobile in Australia.

Pretty happy with this one. Paid $149 and got $100 credit with it. Noticed a few annoying things. Cant get the phone completely silent (i.e. no vibrate). When typing an sms a pop-up message comes up every time you go to another message interrupting input. Also you have to slide off a little cover before you can plug it into the charger... which is a pain in the bum in the dark before bed etc.. also its only a matter of time before it snaps off. The tones are absolutely terrible but the call clarity is excellent and the battery holds up well on standbye. I managed to get the phone to connect no worries via infra-red to my laptop and have been using the Samsung File Manager to transfer tones and images between the two. Haven't had a problem. All in all... for the cost... 4 stars.
