if you have read the reviews of others and think its not a good phone then try looking at other ones...n i agree with that person who said just send sms and talk for gods sake... whats with people who need all this super smart stuff. arnt phones orignally designed to talk on them not have the internet, play games, bluetooth, infrared, and all that mumbo jumbo...DOES IT REALLY MATTER?

all the people who r unhappy with the x660 are complaining bout all this really technical mumbo jumbo, i feel sorry 4 u if thats all u care about with fones, geez, just talk n send msgs 4 god sake

It's a good phone. The only problem seems to be the infrared port. It's just designed to use in contact cards tranfers. I use an USB Data Cable to upload and download files to/from my PC.

I agree with Ufuk, I'm surprised to see so many complaints with the functions of the phone. I've got one of these and it's working perfectly fine, I can connect to the Internet and everything too. I suggest people look up the manual if they can't get something to work or try ringing their service provider, or take it back to the shop and get it fixed! Have you exhausted all options before assuming it's the phone, or maybe you just haven't figured out how to use it yet?
As for the previous entry, if your parents got it for you and you didn't get to pick, then you shouldn't complain. I research my phones before buying so I know what I'm getting :p

Damn it ... i have one of these...and i am sick of it.My parents gave it to my as a gift; i was very happy at first but now after a couple of weeks i am so dissapointed. I wanted a multifunctional phone but this is only a "talk to" machine.now i`m looking for someone to sell it to...but it is difficult to find...

I'm shocked that most of the people wrote they could not upload/download images or ringtones through irDA. But it's just a piece of cake. I think you should stop blaming the phone but should try to find your mistake!
No problem uploading/downloading images,ringtones or videos to/from pc. I did not try to use irDA with another phone, it's
needless for me.
Also i found that kind of an opinon very very senseless and hard to understand :
"This phone is bad because i can't connect to the internet and i don't know how to do it!"
Be reasonable...

1 flaw... if u download a chat program like www.mxit.co.za/wap it is saved in java, but try logging in ... impossible. heard this is a flaw with a couple of samsung models. something 2 do with lack of software. had i know bout this i would never have bought this phone. maybe samsung could provide a downloadable program to solve this problem or else i have no other alternative but to sell this heap of junk 2 some 1 who does not like chat room sites.

oh my God.. after reading all of your opinions im not buying samsung x660.. well a leading telecoms in philippines is offering me a plan with free handset and thats x660.. but after knowing the specs and bad sides of this phone im not gonna get it.. better stick to nokia with bluetooth and infrared that works with all phones.. goodluck guys with x660.. better change it!!!

the realy annoying thing about this phone is the camera.. always takings pics cos the button on the side in my pocket keeps getting knocked and taking photos.. by the end of the night i have like 50 of the insde of my pocket...and my interenet doesnt connect so thats crap... so far this phone looks nice but it has its faults.. shoulda stuck to nokia i think.. ohwell up to u all thats just my opinion :) it does its job of sending msgs and calls.. so yeh its alright

Hey, I just got my samsung x660. and it's a pretty nice phone. however, i cannot use my infrared with other cellphones. is that normal? i can't even send to other phones. I don't know anyone who has a samsung, but i find it pretty annoying that i can't use my infrared. help, please!

i have just bought the x660 and i have got some people to send me some MP3's but when i get them it says incorrect media type. can some1 please email me on tom_dowling68@hotmail.com coem and tell me why it is happening and how to stop it. also, can u download mp3 ringtones and if you can where is the best place to get it.

i think this fone is the best and has the best features for me its better than the n91 which i bought last week so i had to sell it of an iv got 5 of these mobiles
