I am planning to buy the phone.. Can someone tell me whether the GPRS connectivity is good and user friendly in terms of initial set up.. Thanks in advance.

hope these answrs will help:
1. There are two ways to send group messages and that is either by manual addition one by one after typing your sms or you specify a group that u wanna send to.
2. I am not very sure if the Organizer is useful for you. I think some of the functions need to be understood by reading up the manual. I have yet to do that. I just used the organiser as a reminder so far.
3. The phone can definitely display chinese language as long as you dun get an AP model. It even supports Bahasa Malaysia if you buy the original.

you can't use the phone for other functions when the MP3 player is switched on. Obviously, the phone will still prompt you when there is an incoming call/sms.

Hi X700 users,
Was thinking of buying this phone (very soon)as it looks cool and is packed with many features. But have some queries:
1. Are you able to send Group SMS?
2. Is the organiser/to-do feature user friendly and useful?
3. Can the phone display Chinese language?
Would appreciate it greatly if anyone can answer my queries.

my main concern about this phone.
does this phone support mp3 playback at background?
I have encountered many samsung phones and there does not support this function....

the phone supports the following bluetooth devices/functions:
- handsfree
- audio video headset (that means stereo headset)
- file transfer
- object push
- basic printing
- dialup networking
- serial port
You might want to consider D510, just launched last week. It has almost exactly th same specs as X700. It does seem to have a bigger stereo speaker and its a slider. Hmmmm I want a slider too!

Im in Indonesia n bought this x700 two weeks ago. Screen Excellent, Camera OK, Keypad Great, Design OK, but the mp3 sound quality lose from sonyw550. also, we cannot read sms or do anything else when we play mp3. I wonder if i can buy another headset different from the OEM because no Bass ???

Good features for an average user, but falls very much short for a power user in its features compared to Nokia for the same price band. For the features available, the cost is very much higher than Nokia.
Shortcommings are : Limited field width in Name, Notes, Schedule, Reminder, To Do etc; No facility to search phones,schedule,To do, reminders etc.; Beep Once Tone is not available in Call alert; Stop watch stops when we come out of the stopwatch mode, unlike in Nokia, where stopwatch functions till we stop it again. The Camera focus is not good. We are not able to copy Memory Card directly from PC. Grouping the numbers is laborious. We cannot record telephone conversations. If the shortcommings are removed and software is improved, then it will be a better phone than Nokia.
I hope the manufacturers take note of the suggestions for improvement.

just got this phone! everything is good..jus tat the time and date is difficult to be seen when the phone is idle and the lcd light is off..anyway to improve the visibility?
and i do admit tat the screen is not as white as SE phone when some1 mention tat its a little yellowish! but still the screen and color is great!!!

how do i save pictures, images, photos, music, mp3 songs to memory card?? when i take a photo, it will be automatically saved to e phone memory. can anybody tell me?? thanks.. :p

This phone design is good,but the length of
phone too long.(108mm)Why not make it to
102mm.Also dont have flash light and night
mode.Pls think twice b4 you buy!!!! TQ

Hi guys,
I have installed the Opera Mini into my x700. It works fine but still some bugs in the software. The interface in Opera Mini is so much better than the original pre-installed browser. Navigating around the webpages is so much easier. I can check my yahoo emails on the run now!

Camera is very sharp in normal bright place.
Camera does not have built-in flash and night mode. Other than that, this phone is cheap and good.
Bluetooth, MP3, 1.3megapixels, video unlimited depend on card memory, expansion slot, big bright screen, slim boby, etc.

Hi Lost,
I bought it at Sungei Wang, first floor. It is an FMG set. Yes, white areas are over exposed sometimes. But the trick is to let the camera to readjust the white balance when you point the camera to area where there's a lot of whites before you take a picture. Yes you can take pictures horizontally or vertically
What I 'm about to say might offend some K750i users. I find that some pictures look nicer with the x700. The colour of the pictures are more vivid compared to K750i. K750i tend to let too much light into the picture in darker environment and this cause the picture look blurish and appear too soft. I know because my brother uses K750i.

One can get real satisfaction from camera. bit complicated to write text. but very easy to operate while making receiving calls compared to nokia. A nice handset for young proffetionals.
