Hi,
U 600 seems very close in nature to D900 at first; but know that there are basic differences in the software. D900 is on Dragonfly platform like D600 and X700 but U600is on HPE platform like P310 and X820. Also the touch-sensitive softkeys are not said to be durable and battery life worse than D900. but on the other hand, U600 is slimmer and lighter than D900. The difference in price is explained by the package contents. The D900 pack includes TV-out, extra battery, charger, bluetooth headset(or some of these) It is said that D900 is available without these accessories for around 13k.

Hi usman,
i want to buy a new phone...i had been using the samsung X700 for the last 8 months.gr8 phone.
My choices are Nokia N73 music edition, samsung U600 and samsung D900.
Both are 3.2mp cam mobiles.Nd doing some research showed that Samsung u600 camera is better than the others.
samsung U600 in india costs 14k while samsung d900 costs 19k and nokia N73 music costs 18k.
I really like the design of samsung U600, but i have no idea about the phone as it newly lauched in india.I would like to know ur opinion on this..waiting 4 ur reply

Hi, i have encountered this problem couple of times, there are some mp3 files which intially plays the files at 192kbps and below and then after some times it goes to 320kbps and more, and u know that samsung X700 can't play mp3 files above bit rate of 192kbps from the memory card.
To check this transfer the same file to the phone memory and see...it will run without any problem.So, u do one thing, use jet audio basic nd change the bit rate of the file to below 192kbps..changing bit rate doesn't effect the sound quality..

To Darsh! the memory card, might be corrupted or not fully supported by this set. Try using ScanDisk Brand card.

Dear All, I have a Samsung X700 Mobile for last Six mths and had this problem several times. While playing MP3 files from Memory Card, the player stops and gives a message Content not supported. Then I have to remove the memory card from the slot and then insert it back so that I can view all the contents. Please help me with this issue. Thanks in advance.

Edge or GPRS depends upon the BTS site. If it is Edge supporting then phone will show E, if it is GPRS then phone will show G. Both have same charges, but EDGE is 4 times faster than GPRS. It totally depends on your service provider, either it is provding EDGE or GPRS in your coverage area. At my residence my phone works on edge but in office it works on GPRS, and some areas both are absent.

is there any charge for edge connection.
i heard that it is much faster than gprs.
And also if i connect my phone for the internet connection on my pc. how much charge it will take. and which will suitable GPRS or EDGE, if possible.

I don’t know about tiawan’s made cards. I will recommend “SanDisk” microSD cards for X700. Some X700 users have informed that sometimes there is detection problem with Kingston cards (1GB) but there is no complain about SanDisk cards.
You will see “Memory Card Inserted” pop-up message every time you inserted the card. You can see the memory card’s icon in standby mode on # 3 of first row along with battery indicator, G or E logo. To check your memory card, select “Menu/ File Manager/ Memory Card”. If there is no card inserted, then you can’t see this option. Here you can see all memory card’s folders like “Images, Videos, Music, Sounds, Other Files” But you can create new folders in main directory (or under above folders) of memory card as many as you like.
After removal of the card, immediately you will see “Memory Card Removed” message.
To Unknown (PDTi):
You can’t install new skins. And X700 doesn’t support themes.
To Sikb:
What is the error message you received when trying to open links of “Contacts” & “Manage Messages” icons or you got grey (inactive) icons?.... Have you upgraded your PC from XP to vista ?
You can view EMS messages on your mobile only. You can’t open / copy EMS messages on PC. If you are trying to open EMS message in Samsung PC Studio, you will get a pop-up message : “ This is an EMS Message! View in phone”….

hi Usman. i've up-graded the PC but now i've problem with all the options ,such as "manage message" , "manage contacts and more" and all except "file transfer" please advice. also, will i be able to view EMS messages and download them?

1. does this phone support Taiwan's micro sd made, such as; Vgen, etc. coz i've heard that someone who has Toshiba wouldn't compatible with this device

To Nishikant: All the links provided in my website are working. Use your PC to download all these media files and softwares. Visit these pages from PC: http://usmanafzal.110mb.com/mp4audio_ringtones.htm http://usmanafzal.110mb.com/vibrating_ringtones.htm All java games/softwares are provided as ZIP files. Unzip these and install through USB cable or WAP (follow the steps in "install games" page. And there is no corrupted file present. (USMAN)

hi, without using the software and the PC can i increase the volume of the ringtones on the mobile itself? i just know that there is a command that begins with the # and the * symbols followed with numbers and ends with the sasme symbols. The value associated with it also is only upto 45. Please help.

but i had one prob. while downloading when i want to download through wap the given link couldn't open and also downloading ringtones link that also show currepted .
i paid lots of money for downloading games through wap but unsuccessful..
give me a solution.

Does X700 music seems to shatter/burst while playing music at highest level, with built in speakers? My set do so. On the other hand it gives excellent quality on handsfree.
