To Dream:
Email client/MMS/WAP Browser/Opera Mini works through GPRS and if you can open web sites on Opera Mini, or wap sites like http://wap.google.com on your wap browser then definitely you have active GPRS connection.
Try to send mms within your country (not international mms), then inform the result to my email address.
Don’t use yahoo/hotmail free accounts with X700’s email client …. Use your Gmail account on X700 email client. If you are using your Gmail account on X700, then it means that your email client setting is incorrect or incorrect Gmail account settings. Please send an email to my address with full details of gmail account / email client settings…

To Sangar (Sandy):
Don’t use “USB Mass Storage” option of X700 when you want to connect your mobile with Samsung PC Studio software…. Use “modem” option for that purpose. While “USB Mass Storage” option is for your memory card.

      Hi Usman,
      Wanted to take the backup of all contact details stored in phone/SIM. For that, I have conncted the phone to PC thr' USB, Opend Samsung PC Studio-->Selected Manage Contacts & More --> In Phone Editor, Clicked on File-> Connection. A Phone connection window appeared, then I clicked on Connect by keeping USB option as it is.But, nothing happened. not able to connect. In Phone USB setting, Mass storage was selected.
      Kindly help.

        thanks usmaan bhai,one more thing i asked you before you didnt answer was,
        how email client works?? by gprs or works by mms..(if i want send email with attachment)
        i am using opera mini,it means my gprs activ,right???
        so why email client not works and always says network failed.

          To Dream:
          You can use internet connections of jazz/warid/ufone/telenor in your mobile but when you change the sim, you need to switch over to the internet settings of desired network manually like:

          For MMS: Select Menu/Settings/Multimedia Messages/MMS Profiles/Current Profile ... Now, select your MMS profile.

          For Email: Select Menu/Settings/Email Profile/Current Profile ... Now, Select your Email profile.

          For WAP: Select Menu/Browser/Current Profile ... Now, select your WAP profile.

          You can save internet settings of upto 5 different network providers at a time. If you are on jazz network, you must choose jazz internet settings for MMS,Email, WAP. This simple rule equally applies to other networks also!

                If this is the case as you have mentioned, then it seems that opera mini doesn't support this operation.

                  dear usman i hv already installed opera mini n i also open orkut.com & checked my scraps,but when i m going to reply them, i cant reply from mobile.when i click on submit button same page is again opened but its not replied??so i want to ask how i can reply scraps from opera mini.....thx

                      1)256MB sandisk costs 500Rs
                      256MB kingston costs 350Rs

                      2)512MB sandisk memory card costs 850Rs
                      512MB kinston memory card costs 550Rs
                      512MB transcend memory card costs 550Rs
                      512MB Toshiba memory card costs 400Rs

                      3)1GB memory card from Sandisk costs 1250Rs
                      1GB memory card from kingston cost 800Rs
                      1GB memory card from transcend cost 750Rs

                      NOTE: All the memory card cost are with bill and life time warranty except for the trancend card which gives warranty of only 3 years.

                          Install Opera Mini web browser on your X700 and then go to http://www.orkut.com through Opera Mini and after sign-in, you can use this service on your X700.

                            USMAN: I've send the COM-PORT INSTALLATION GUIDE to my friend (who was stuck up with the 'new connection wizard' in java installation) His reply is given below.

                            "I uninstall everything and started all over again and this time tried the instructions in the last pdf (COM_Port_installation). I still got Port COM 9 under modem. (page 2 of pdf install_games_on….). Just
                            like last time.
                            On page 10 of the pdf under Device for this
                            communication, mine gives ‘WAN Miniport (ATW) (IRDA 14-0)’ and drop down gives “Infrared port (IRDA 2-0)’. There is no Communication ports (COM1) option to choose. This is exactly what happened the other time also. Proceeding now will be sure failure as in last time. What did I do wrong and what can I do now?"

                              To Khozema: Today, I made backup of all my data of memory card on PC and tried to format the memory card. I am using SanDisk 512MB microSD card with about 95 % data in it. When I tried to format the memory card from X700 by going to Menu/ File Manager/ Memory Card/ Settings/ Format…. The pop up message appeared “Formatting will erase all data. Continue?” …. After selected “Yes” option, within 5 seconds, the message appeared “Format Completed”…
                              After that, I can access memory card folders easily …. Then, I transferred all of my data again from PC to memory card using mass storage option and after that,the memory card is working properly without any problem.
                              Use SanDisk memory cards which are more reliable than Kingston since many users have complained about Kingston cards.

                                    when i check my scraps of orkut,i want to reply them,but unfortunately i cant reply scraps to my friends from x700,can u plz help me out of this prob that how i can reply my scraps to my friends,i will be thankful 2 u if u....:)

                                      Don’t try to change sms service centre number by yourself…. Restart mobile and check that this number will come back automatically…. For memory problem,read my post on 23 december, 2006….Write “code” in search opinion textbox and press enter key….

                                      Before making any decision, read my comparison about X700 & Nokia 6233 on 17& 23 October, 2006 …. In that post, I want to “correct” one thing that X700 can install games/ softwares through USB cable without any JAR size limit…. The 300KB JAR size limit is only applicable if installation is done through wap…. To find this post, Write “6233” in search opinion textbox and press enter key….

                                        I'm quite dissapointed with the keypad... Really - it's a keypad for wamen... with very small thumbs. I can't used to it. And it have some user interface drawbacks which i don't like. In the end i'm thinking of changing this deviece for nokia 6233...
