To usman:
1. can we install any other browser in X700?, If yes, tell me the procedure, and send me the links related for downloading the browser/ or mail me the required.

2. usman, also give the useful software links for using gprs and checking the mails in X700, i will be very happy if u send the required softwres via mail to me.

1.Will there be threat of any virus, while surfing the gprs? How to take prevention for this?

2. How to know the total number of bytes received, when using the gprs in x700? Is there any chance?

If anybody knows how to delete the search words, typed while using the gprs on x700, plz let me know. This can be done without clearing the cache?

Hi 2 all, i would like to know something for x700 ... if anyone know's what is the max limit of the memmory card?
Can i put a memmory card of 1 GB on the phone ?

To usman,

Hey usman i would like to give u some suggestion.why don't u put ur own review containing everything about X700.

also do the camera comparison with some other mobiles like nokia 3230,6630 Sek750i.
if ur friends have the above mentioned phones then u can take there help and take some pictures and compare cam quality.

anyway it's just an idea choice is yours.

Thank u very much for that pics.i think the camera quality is good enough but i feel not as good as sony ericsson k750i.I have decided that i will buy samsung X700 since i have heared a lot of positive opinions about this model.

To SARA:
I am using sandisk 512MB card for last 6 months and i have also faced this problem but 2 times only!.... Restart mobile or remove card from card slot and again insert it into phone.... and memory card's data will be come back.... I think, this may be the only solution .... But since then, memory card is working properly without any problem....

Please check your mailbox now.... I sent some MP images taken from Samsung X700....

To Yusuf:
Battery life for normal usage is about 36—48 hours..... you can reach this figure by following these :
Keep LCD Brightness level to 1 and keypad tone "OFF"....
Keep dim backlight "OFF"....and keypad light use at night time or use your custom time....
Use headphones instead of speakers when listening radio/media files....
The sound quality of headphones is very good .... better than speakers .... My brother has D600 which is about 2 times louder than X700 but at maximum volume, X700 gives better sound quality than D600 .... There is clear quality difference between D600 and X700 when playing same audio file.... May be you are using poor quality audio files!... For FM radio, some channels have excellent sound quality while some have average quality....
Phone locking system is fast .... You just need to enter correct password...
200 SMS can be saved into phone's memory.... you can easily copy/ paste all SMS to a word file / text file on your PC using Samsung PC Studio Software....

Thanks for ur opinion.i have also heared other people saying that K750i has some joystick problems.So i feel i should not go for it.Well i just need to choose between Lg an samsung.well...i'm just concerned about the camera( since 1.3mp)of samsung X700 compared to 2mp in KG 300.if u don't mind can u send me some nice pictures taken by samsung X700.

what i like the most about samsung X700 is the price.samsung X700 is now available in india for 8800 Rs.USB cable,stereo headsets,64 MB card plus Cd software is provided in the kit.

LG 300 is available for 10000rs.

To Usman Hi usman i need ur help once again. I ve bought new m/card of 512 mb a week aback but there is sum prob regarding mem card or cell.While playbacking a audio or video song sometimes it suddenly stops an error occured (CONTENT NOT SUPPORTED) after then only card icon remains there on desktop/background but nothing can b accessed frm mem card & wen i restart d cell then it shows all d files & can b played properly.i ve also changed it twice but still there is same problem.So plz tell me wat should i ve to do. THANKS

Only SE K750i/ Samsung X700/ LG KG300 have competition among each other.... Don't think Nokia 3230 or Motorola L7 any more!....
Please read my previous post on 19 JUNE, 2006 about X700/SE K750i comparison....
X700/K750/KG300 have some limitations....
Both X700/ KG300 can record phone calls / FM radio programs while K750 can only record phone calls....
Both K750/ KG300 can play fullscreen video playback while X700 cannot play fullscreen but the picture quality is excellent....
Both K750/ KG300 can minimise mp3 player/FM radio while X700 can only minimise FM radio....
X700 has EDGE Class 10 While both K750/ KG300 has no EDGE....
Battery life depends on usage of different functions like Java games, screen/ keypad backlights, video files , mp3 files through speakers.... For me, battery lasts for about 35—36 hours...
X700 has dual stereo speakers as well for listening FM / MP3/video player with superb sound quality but bass element is missing since it has no equalizer while K750/ KG300 have this....
X700 has much better security options to secure folders as compared to K750/KG 300....
X700 has good answering machine feature which is absent in other mobiles....
Both K750/KG300 have 2MP camera while X700 has 1.3MP camera.... But pics quality is good even better than many 1.3MP mobile cameras....
If i have a choice, then i will go for either X700 or KG 300 because joystick of K750i is not user friendly (serious drawback!) .... Also in K750i/ KG 300 , you cannot put password on all folders of phone memory or memory card.... also both doesn't have EDGE (which is 4 times faster than GPRS)....
Samsung is reliable brand.... For more info about X700, read my previous posts.... you can search my posts by entering “usman” in search opinion textbox and press “Enter” key.... !

The service is very poor.Transmiting & reciving is also very poor compare to NOKIA

If you have enabled the sim lock feature in X700, then you cannot use other sim than the first one unless you enter the correct sim lock code on startup of X700.... But incase you forgot the sim lock code or phone lock code, then try this:
Switch off your mobile and remove the sim card .... Now restart your mobile.... You will get “Insert SIM” message.... Just ignore it .... Now, enter this full reset code “*2767*3855#”.... Wait some time.... Your mobile will automatically shut down and restart by itself.... Now, again switch off your mobile and insert the SIM card.... Switch ON your mobile.... Your X700 will reset to factory settings....
To anak_nakal :
Use MPEG4 DIRECT Maker software for making 3gp or mp4 video files from all video formats like DVD, VCD dat, avi, mpg, wmv, divX and so on.... It has NO file size restrictions .... you can make complete DVD into MP4 video file .... and MP4 is much better format than 3gp.... better video / audio quality.... Your X700 can easily play this high quality MP4 video files without black cinema screen borders!.... If you need this software or it's registration key to remove it's 30 days usage limitation, then email to me....

To hell girl :
Samsung X700 is best available mobile at this price range ( 9200 pak rupees ).... At this low price, you cannot find any SE/ Nokia/ Motorola phone with these kinds of excellent features....But it also has some limitations.... For all it's features, read my previous posts on 17 and 23 october 2006 by typing “6233” in search opinions textbox on this page and press “enter” key....

I've been using this phone for more than a week, overall a good phone with following shortcomings:

1)low battery life
2}no ringing profiles
3}limited sms memory
4}poor earphones, infact useless for me
5}phone locking system is slow

i'm planning to buy a mobile in the price range of ten thousand indian rupees.i have short listed SAMSUNG x700,sony ericsson k750i(price in india have dropped to 9990Rs)LG KG300,motorola L7 and nokia 3230.My basic requirments will be a very good camera.i have seen in some reviews that the camera in K750i is really good.i don't know much about samsung X700.it is not that popular in india.

I want to ask a few questions to u regarding the above mobiles.

1)How to u compare the picture quality of the above models?(camera quality)

2)Do u think that samsung can be a reliable like the nokia phones since i havn't seen much of samsung phones.

3)Does samsung X700 has a good battery life?
how is the sound quality.i have heared that it has two speakers.is it true?

4)if u were given the choise to choose between the above phones then which one woud u have gone with?

I'm ot at all able to decide on which phone i need to buy.plz help me.thanbk u very much

dear fellas,
thanks for all the reviews & opinions about this phone.i've bought this model about 2 weeks ago & i'm fully satisfied with all the functions that this phone provides.
i don't know anything about mp4 format.is it same as a 3gp format?every phone nowadays plays mp3 & 3gp format(including this model).mp3 is for audio & 3gp is for video.if somebody ask about how to convert a video with mpeg or avi format to 3gp format,then i suggest use ImTOO 3GP Video Converter.u can download it at http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/ImTOO-GP-Video-Converter-b-Download-18648.html
it is a very user friendly software.

(To hell girl): wel if u only hav 10000 pak/indian rupees and if u want a brand new fone then definitely X700 shud be ur choice considering its super quality 1.3 megapixel camera, fm radio, bluetooth n usb connectivity, privacy feature, 35MB internal mem , GPRS & EDGE, installable games n app, up to 1GB expandable mem, 262K color screen and so on.. n the phone is gud luking as wel.. so go for it..

i think u r rite sir..if we leave 3.2mp camera phones..nokia's 3230 & 6230i both having 1.3mp camera and when i compare there photos to my X700 photos..i also notice that the phone's cameras dont get the actual colors..the white color seems to be pink, brown becomes something else and so on..
