one more thing..u say that only 300 KB can be uploaded in the fone, then y are there applications having size of more than 300 KB and how to install them??/

i am just visiting it..and but i have some confusions..please help me out..

1.I chose Samsung, and then X700 for downloading softwares.In the left pannel, i see All Softwares which includes Games and Applications, tell me that are these only for Samsung X700?? I am confused by the word ALL, may b ALL is ALL SOFTWARES AVAILABLE, and can be for any fon. Here is link

i really appreciate ur response..
well..can i ask which 1 is ur overall favourite fone? i mean including the most expensive ones also, if i ask you which should i buy then which one will u suggest??

Actually i neva liked samsung till i used my uncles D600 abit..and then i was in love with sliders, i saw that no 1 else's slider's shape is better than samsung.But no slider has fm in it..so i thought of going for X700. as it is cheaper than Nokia and better than Sony Ericsons..

If your X700 is locked and you forget the phone lock password then try this :
Switch off your mobile and remove the sim card .... Now restart your mobile.... You will get “Insert SIM” message.... Just ignore it .... Now, enter this full reset code “*2767*3855#”.... Wait some time.... Your mobile will automatically shut down and restart by itself.... Now, again switch off your mobile and insert the SIM card.... Switch ON your mobile.... Your X700 will reset to factory settings.... But you will lose internet wap, Email settings, bookmarks, FM radio channels names, All pics in photos folder , favourite images, and so on.... Any way, this is the price for that .... But it does not delete any file present in your memory card.... So, before doing this, transfer all your data into PC or memory card!

I just bought yesterday an X700 Samsung mobile phone for 180 usd. Excellent quality for the money, excellent sound, and display. Well done Samsung

Dear sir
problem is that i forgot tha phone lock password of my X700 mobile phone.and stll am nt getting da display of my mobile phone..and still am trying to unlock the phone,so i woult be know how i can remove it.or is there any default phone lock password where i put and get the unlock to my phone please am very confused

I am sending this reply here because some others also have same kind of problem. The sound quality of FM recording is not good because it records as “amr” file.... There will be no deviation in sound quality when there is constant strong FM signals present.... During recording, keep your set in that position where you gets strong FM signals....
After entering code “#*536963#” in standby mode on X700, you can still use USB mass storage feature to transfer files to memory card but you cannot use Samsung PC Studio software.... You need to enter “ #*536961#” to again enable samsung PC Studio and gprs internet usage....
If Softeck PPP software shows “NOT connected” message then check that you are able to connect X700 with Samsung PC Studio software .... If yes, then it means that you are using wrong COM port setting for Softick PPP software.... Close the Samsung PC Studio software.... Make sure that X700 is connected to your PC through USB cable and check the COM port by going to “Start Menu... Settings.... Control Panel.... System.... Hardware.... Device Manager.... Modems.... Samsung Mobile USB Modem 1.0.... Modem”.... Now, note down the COM port.... ( I have Port : COM 4 But your's may be different ) ...
Now, start the Softick PPP software and right click on it's icon ( in system tray ) and select “Settings.... Bluetooth/Serial” .... Now, select COM : 4 port ( /Device/ss_mdm0 ) and put check on it's checkbox....
Now, create a new network connection by following AZEEM's post on 8 november, 2006.... In his post, he specified TCP/IP address but your's may be different.... Since i have different address than azeem....
From: 192.168.50.1
To : 192.168.50.2

After creating new network connection.... Activate Softick PPP software.... It must show “1 device(s) connected” message....
Now on X700, Go to menu...applications... java world... settings... and enter “APN: internet”
Login ID : (Keep Empty)
Password : (Keep Empty)
Proxy : Disable
and click "Save"
If you don't enter APN name, then you cannot install any java application on X700 ....
Now, repeat steps 8 to 11 of azeem's post .... Installation will be started....
and after installation, clear the APN field otherwise you cannot access internet from midlet like Opera Mini .... and after installation, enter this code : ( #*536961# ) to remove any wap internet access problem....

To Tina:
X700 cannot play full screen videos but it can play without cinema screen black borders ( read my post on 22 november, 2006 to kashif ).... Please check this video quality that i have made through Mpeg4 Direct Maker Software:

Please strictly follow the procedure for this software given in my post on 7 september, 2006 .... For best quality, output video bitrate ( try to increase ) and video quality of source file are also important ....

Yes, the X 700 supports both 3gp and MP4 format. MP4 is the best format available for mobiles and handheld. It gives DVD quality picture. It does have a inbuilt video player and also gives you the option to forward the video.

It supports upto 1 GB T-flash card.

hai usman.Is there any way to play full screen mp4 files in samsung X700?.i have seen some previous posts where you have said to use the some software for it.well,i have movie editor software in which i can convert the mpeg files into mp4 with resolution of 176*144.but when i saw the files on phone it's not looking that good.it feels like a 3gp file in terms of video quality.i think mp4 files are of DVD quality.

Hi i am seeing your suggestions, that's wonderful and helpful for X-700 users.Because this is not user friendly phone(For some options).

I need your help for solving some problems what i faced.
1. Recorded sound Quality of F.M radio is not good(Lot of deviation in quality).

2. After installing softwares 'Softick.PPP.v2.21.rar' and 'Samsung.Java.Uploader.rar', i am unable to upload the files through U.S.B cable.I used the setting procedures as you people mentioned here.Still it is showing "not connected".
3.After using these codes #*536963# and #*5737425#, i lost gprs setting and it is showing error like "Host name non recoverable". How i can restore my old setting.
Pls help me out on these issue, positvely i am waiting for your reply.Better you post your opinion/suggestion to my mail ID sspatawari@yahoo.co.in

Nokia 6260 has poor sound quality ( mono sound output) having same problem like 6600 that you cannot receive files from other mobiles through bluetooth more than 6 MB.... Only advantage it has is, wide range of softwares available but slow responding phone due to symbian OS....... Samsung X700 is better choice.... Even you can compare X700 to K750i very well....
